Dear all,

I'm willing to do another round for the Aluminium Front Panels for the A4000d Case.
This would be round #7, as earlier successful rounds were discussed in the following threads:
- Round 1, 2 and 3
- Round 4, 5 and 6

The following parts are offered (with UPDATED pricing).
Front bezel:__________ € 200 (White RAL 9002 € 250)
Power knob:__________ € 16 (White RAL 9002 € 20)
A) 3½” cover large_____ € 21 (White RAL 9002 € 24) - Bottom slot on A4000, to be used when a regular sized floppy drive is used
B) 3½” cover small_____ € 23 (White RAL 9002 € 27)- Bottom slot on A4000, to be used when the Chinon FB-357a floppy drive is used
C) 5¼” cover__________ € 28 (White RAL 9002 € 32) - When no CD-rom or alike is attached
D) 3½” cover large solid_ € 21 (White RAL 9002 € 25) - Middle slot on A4000, to be used when no floppy drives are attached. Please bare in mind that you'll need option A too in this case!
Additional costs I ______€ 5 for shipping from the manufacturer to me
Additional costs II _____ € 15.00 for packaging material, square rod for the power knob, screws, magnets
Additional costs III _____ Shipping from my place to your home address, in general € 17.50 to € 45 including insurance (up to € 500). One full set incl. packaging is < 1 kg, see also table at the bottom.

Powder coating will be done at a local supplier, I will investigate if anodization can also be done locally.

Shipping cost estimation (Insured up to € 500)

To set the expectations on the next steps:
- After I have a good impression on what to order (in a week of 1 - 2) I will request a final quote from the manufacturer. This can be quick, usually 1 or 2 days.
- Then payment is requested and I will gather all funds and transfer it to the manufacturer. Could take up to a week or so for everyone to pay upfront.
- Usually it takes the manufacturer 1 - 2 weeks to produce. But take into account that Chinese New Year is coming for them and they will be out on holiday for a while.
- Once manufactured, the items will be shipped to my home address, 2 - 3 days.
- I will inspect and repack for the powder coating (and anodization?) to be performed locally, couple of days pending on my availability at that time.
- This can take 2 - 4 weeks pending on the slot that I will get at the powder coating company.
- Once all manufactured and to my satisfaction, I will individually pack and ship the items. Usually within 1 week.
- As always, I will update you on the progress in between.

Dear all,

I've reviewed a revised design that is floating around on a1k.org. This revised design includes some improvements on the backside of the panel, like the front fitting what @Koolvin was mentioning on the 3rd page in this thread. Also the placement of the magnets have been moved to a different location.

They also have included drive covers, except for "B - 3½ Cover small".
I've 3D printed this design to assess the fitting with my drive covers, and all drive covers including the "B - 3½ Cover small" seems to fit the updated design fine.

I have requested a new quotation based on this new design.
