Handheld Console?

Nintendo DS? Outrun, Resident evil deadly Silence, GoldenEYE :) and there still more :)

The 3DS is a great console for backwards compatibility with DS and GBA. Plus, it has a great emulation homebrew scene for running other consoles.

I have mine with homebrew running but also an R4 card which only expands storage and capabilities. The New 3DS XL can be had for a decent price and is pretty amazing.

The PS Vita is also a lot of fun because you can basically homebrew your way into having native PSP and PS1 support. Plus the controls feel great, it's quick, the screen is very nice, and the batteries last a long time.

Watch out for Ally Rog 2(I think they improve Batteries life and also fixed SD card reader pls!) as might be coming out in this June!

No one mentioned the Analogue Pocket?
It ticks quite a few boxes, among them it's FPGA based and it has an Amiga core.

Damn you for sharing this 🤣 they just restocked these an hour ago and I was compelled to purchase one. My wife is going to be mad at me lol

Steam Deck is nice machine but questions you have ask yourself is how often you gonna used it?

I received my Analogue Pocket and am really enjoying it. This was a great purchase. It makes me wonder if I should purge a lot of my retro handhelds to free up some space and pad the bank account a bit :)

cool things to enjoy :)

I have seen Second hand like steam deck and rog ally price going down is worth to snap up :)

I'm using my Steamdeck for mobile retro-gaming. It works perfectly and it's much fun playing old (and new) amiga-games sitting on the couch in the evening.

Man, that sure is a sexy handheld...

I still want a Switch OLED. I consider it a handheld, it wouldn't be hooked up to my TV.

Currently I'm bouncing back and forth from the Analogue Pocket to the New 3DS XL. The dual screen + 3D features of the Nintendo really make it an outlier in the world of similarly-specced mobile platforms. I really love it. If I had to keep only one handheld console to live with, it'd be the New 3DS XL.

@BigAgnus - There's a new release for Aquabyss planned for PC sometime this year. (y)
