Just to clarify for me, if you remove the hard drive and run the ram test again, will it give errors? or is it only when the hard drive is plugged in??[/QUOTE]

I'll check this later today, thanks.

Maybe ask somebody to check your card in another A1200 and see if the results you are getting can be reproduced.

I know for fact that Amigastore.eu had received a batch bad memory chips earlier this year, I wonder if the manufacturer of your card got their memory chips from the same supplier.

I'd like to try this but I don't know anyone else with an Amiga around here.

Running the memory test without the hd and there are no errors yet.

Being devil’s advocate here. Have you tried a clean fresh different cf card

booting from fdd and test is ok ?

if ok from fdd could this simply be max transfer or a virus?

I haven't tried a new CF card. I have the old mechanical HDD I can try.

Yes, booting from FDD and test is ok.

Max transfer is 0x1fe00.

Is it worth me downloading an anti-virus?

I would try the hdd and see if behaviour changes as everyone has said above.

try 1 item at a time for a long period , if booting of the CF card can reproduce the fault time after time but without it all is ok then try a diff boot device. rinse - repeat

Lincolnshire is a fairly large county but you can't be too far away from me

Not that close, I'm near Scunthorpe.

Up to you but If you want to send it to me I can give it a try in my 1200
