I think the BX40 is the cheapest one for what you need.

Here is a Willem in an Ebay BIN, the guy also mentions a USB version in his other items but I don't see it listed

You think that one would work Zetr0?
For the stuff that Xanxi mentioned "amiga kickstart rom, and most amiga expansion rom (such as GVP, A2091, A590, Blizzard, Apollo, etc)"
I would say pal/gals would be nice also.
Do you mean THIS one?![]()
This one would do it. Is it directly suitable for Amiga kickstarts or does it need another adapter?

I use a Batronix, which is jumperless, extremely well made and has drivers for every Windows, Mac and Linux OS you could possibly want. They're cheap for an industrial device, but quite expensive for a hobbiest. However I use it almost every day, so it was worth spening a bit more on.

How much? Would you have a link?
Only one problem: ZIF is 40-pins. Is 42-pins actually needed for something? I don't exactly remember if Amiga kickstarts are 40 pins or 42 pinsYeah, here is a BIN for the Genius G840, several adapters included, looks pretty complete

Anyone have one? Any advice?
Hello big Z, I am a fan of yours since you helped me repair my Apollo 1240 years ago@jbenam
Ciao amico mio,
Sadly the Genius G840, (like the G540)only programs 8bit wide devices - it will not program 16bit devices like the 27c400 / 323 or 800 EEPROM's
For a complete device list (click here)
In which cases are those usually needed? I'm no expert (yetaccording to that download device list, it does indeed state 27c400's these are 16bit wide devices - so, it should work.
You wont be able to program 27c800 devices as the programmer doesn't support these.
I've a genius g840. I am trying to write GAL22V10B to upgrade an A3640 rev0 to rev2 and I always got a verify error..... Does someone already tried GAL on this programmer. Thanks
Did anyone have a chance to test this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/181023992178
Features look amazing for the price.
Only 32-bit OSs supprted according to the description.Willem needed custom driver to get it working with 64-bit OS.
