help with PPS040

Hi, I recently got a PPS040 from a friendd but it is missing a chip. Is there any way to get this chip?

It is the one right above the CPU towards the right hand side (20 pin one), in the picture is the U202 one

That's a GAL chip, programmed into it is some combination of logic ICs, probably. So you can't really buy replacement chips like ordinary logic ICs.

If the contents are known or can be duplicated, someone with a programmer could make one for you. Or possibly make a [schematic for a] little plug-in PCB. Or someone with a dead board might have one.

Those are your options I think.
