The Amiga was my foray into 3D computer graphics and while I barely touched the surface of it back then, I ended up making a career of it in later years. I'm in the process of dusting off and restoring an A500 and 1084S monitor (replacement power switch is on the way!) in the hopes of reliving my childhood. Looking forward to connecting with fellow enthusiasts.

Welcome to this community. Some would say 3D is what killed the Amiga as it was /is ill suited to 3D rendering due to several design/architectural choices be it planar graphics or relying on Motorola CPU’s…… But it is cool seeing such a system running early 3D software

Thank you! I had no idea 3D played into it. But yeah, I remember it being painfully slow, waiting overnight for a rendered frame. But seeing a chrome ball on a checkered ground (a rite of passage for every 3D artist) the following morning was totally magical at the time.
