How did you first get into computers?

It's probably just me but when I refer to the actual processor I call it 020 etc when I use cpu I generally use it for an abbreviation of "computer" as in complete main unit.

Surely being used in the above context you must have got the feeling I was referring to the entire computer?

If I'd meant the central processing unit I would have said something like, the Amiga has a FAST 060 cpu...

On a multilingual board I doubt anyone uses concise proper english at all times... take it easy Hell Labs :p
 
CPU = Central Processing Unit

Many computers can use the same CPU and still be different computers therefore flawed argument.

I believe the Sega Megadrive and the A600 shared a very similar CPU revision.

at 7.30am just about to set off to spend my Saturday setting up a server and 10 workstations the question I ask now is

WHY did I get into computers? :nuts:
