Bit tongue in cheek but I bought a cheap A1200 case recently to put my second machine in (also bought from here). I didn't want anything too nice as I wanted to modify the case to put in a Gotek drive or maybe a HxC drive (as the one in the current machine isn't the original floppy one), and a CD drive, and I thought I'd bought the perfect one on this site. It had a few marks on the case and was slightly yellowed.
So I retr0brighted it with some BBlonde and now look at it (my second machine is behind it)!!! OK, the trap door is a slightly different shade but it turned out like new. I can't damage this case now :'(
Retr0bright ruined my whole weekend

Looks really good buddy, as John says, do the other machine too. Or mod the yellow one before retrobrighting and even if it looks new you won't be worried about modding it cause it'll already be done :)

Agreed, that is a brilliant idea, thanks  I've still got your other case as well so if one fails I should be OK :) I'll try and work out what to do with the white one now, but I might hold onto it for a while in case something comes up.

I think it now looks great can some one tell me how you do this

There's a Retr0brighting thread on the forum. Just paint it in the BBlonde cream, I covered mine in clingfilm to stop the cats getting covered in it and leave it baking in the sun.

Looks amazing. Will have to see about getting some bblonde alternative here in Denmark.

Nice one, looks great! I also did some retrobrighting this weekend on a white Sega Saturn controller that had gone yellow. No photos but again turned out like new. forget all the hair-brain methods you see posted using UV lamps and oxi powder etc, all you need is a £1.50 bottle of BeBlonde and a couple of hours of strong summer sunlight.

I have seen how too do it mixing too mix the retro bright but what is this deblonde and were do you get it and use it?

BBlonde is just hair peroxide available from many shops like Superdrug, Home Bargains etc. Works well!

Is it this one Jerome Russell B Blonde Cream Peroxide 40 Vol 12% LightnerAnd how do you use it and do you need too wear anything when useing it ?

The UV light is handy in Manchester tbh. We don't get a right lot of sun in these parts

Most pharmacies and shops like Superdrug stock BBlonde. It's in little brown plastic bottles.

BBlonde is like ready-mixed Retr0bright, except that it's damn near goof-proof. Retr0bright was really a proof of concept regarding the chemistry of the ABS plastics, but BBlonde is the way to do it for the non-techy person.

Except none of the local pharmacies around here seem to stock it anymore :'(

I'll have to get to Tralee or Killarney as there's a Boots there that hopefully stock it.

Morrisons also sell it, also found it in boots and on our locql market. None in our local sainsburys or tesco though.

I've used bblonde a couple of times and it's great. That case looks lovely. Dont let it dry out. I was lazy and left my snes out for too long before reapplying and it bleached it all patchy.

Does BBlonde work on its own, or should you still put some oxy laundry booster in there?

It works on it's own, nothing else need be added.
