bored doing a bit of browsing after playing rayman Wii U on out Wiiu

came across Cemu and I was like,,, ye right, playable., pfft!

so I got Toad tracker game and loaded it into the emulator to be met with the loading screen, I configured my keyboard just for testing and i'm now on level 3 of the game, its playing perfectly at full HD at what must be over 30 fps or more without any screen glitches and full sound / music.

I'm like OMG,, wth!!!!

so im now getting mario kart 8 and a couple of other just to see if i'm just lucky with this 1 game.

congrats to the Cemu team this is amazing.

What kind of hardware are you running this at (especially GPU)?

its a laptop.

i7 (but i don't think that matters as the emu stated single core recompiler)
16gb ram (emu need 6gb)
nvidia 680m 4gb (again this isnt important so ive read as long as its nvidia or amd) my 680m is equivalent i believe to a gtx 570 desktop so not that powerful

pretty much mid to low spec by todays gaming standards.

That's pretty amazing then, I have an old(ish) gaming rig here with a GTX 550 Ti, will try my luck with it. Worst case it won't be HD I guess.

How is the Wii U controller display emulated (if at all)?

no display atm.

with toad tracker your mouse pointer is your finger its a bit fiddly as the mouse also rotates the screen and im guessing mouse clicks = pressing the screen as i can move blocks around on the later levesl of toad tracker, i need to setup my xbox controller or Wii U game controller and see if its easier.

im probably just lucky with the game, mario kart which arrives in under 15 minutes will prob either not work or run at 5fps :D too good to be true i reckon.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i kid you not Mario Kart 8 playing 32fps to 48fps stutters now and then but damn!! give this emu a little more time and wow......just wow....

All you have to do now is find a reason to play a Wii U game in the first place. ;)

for me its easy, i'm a sucker for 3d platform games what the Wii / Wii U does best, cant get enough of them..if I could forget Windwaker, mario 64, sunshine, galaxy , etc and play them over as new that would be perfect :D

Well there are a few Zelda games that are Wii(U) only so there you go, good enough reason to me..

mario maker perfect, its even easier to create levels using the mouse lol,,, piece of cake.. love it :D

It must be one of those love or hate things - I cannot think of a single Nintendo franchise I enjoy, and the Wii U is a Nintendo first party platform - with bugger all third party support.... Now a PS4 or XBox One emulator.... that would be something.

Thanks for the recommendation at Geekfest Sardine :)

Currently playing Mario 3d World with my son. It glitches and slows down occasionally but 99% of the time it runs at 60fps.

This is running on my lounge system which is only got an AMD Phenom 970 Black @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 (1333) and an AMD 7970 (good but old now)

Going to try Mario Cart and Pikmen later on.

like I explained at geekfest, mario kart will stutter its nuts off until all the shaders have been cached,

after its done its caching I get 60fps on an mobile i7 @3.4 with 680m (equivalent desktop 570gtx)

toad treasure tracker works great, you kinda need the mouse to act as your finger to move the object and camera (you'll under stand once you play it)
