I have read very few about the Amiga in this thread, but a lot a hazardous commentaries at the contrary (is it normal that someone keep slamming Scotland on this thread)?
Frankly, i am shocked by a lot of commentaries here, as patent rules violations.
A few years ago, a similar thread about the greek situation has been closed by mods in a matter of minutes.
Seems that rules do change!

On point as per Amibay.. I'm guessing this mean duties / customs fees for parcels between UK and EU countries? I wonder if some enterprising folks will setup some sort of "delivery" services near the Ireland/N. Ireland border as a conduit?

Also the price of things £ vs €

i had to back out of a purchase on here this morning as the euro conversion on €160 changed overnight from £120 to nearer £133

I already do not sell outside the European Union ... the same problems like Burkina Faso

Well the price of the equipment I bought from the UK is dropping like a stone for me :) And I've still 6 days before I need to pay :)

Bryce.

Take advantage guys before the dust settles!

Report them or we might not see them. Time to do proactive modding unfortunately isn't a constant.

"David Cameron has announced that he will step down as UK prime minister by October. He said it was not right for him "to be the captain of the ship" as the British people have taken a very clear decision to take a different path to the one he has promoted." - as per BBC World Service (etc)

Implications of Brexit

I was joking here, but you really did it. Crazy, now the Empire will get a Micro-Empire. No real industry, only banks and most of them will now move to Frankfurt, because England is no more Europe...

But!

2 years left until you are free. I assume this will never happen. Now everyone is getting crazy and at the end of the day Britain will stay or really lose everything... Are the english writing people here all banker? :)

I am sure the EU is not interested in a small part of London. ;)
But if you have to pay now a high price, please, please do not come back asking for money.
Build your own Empire and be happy!!!

And do not wonder if banks and industry will leave the country now. :)

I see a lot of comments from pro-brexit people about what "EU" has done to their country / community.

Yes, our countries has changed, our communities has changed, because well, the time has changed.

You are not going to get your country 15 years ago, no matter whether you leave the EU or NATO, or whatever international organization.

Globalization and internationalization are irreversible processes. You can not reverse it, you can not stop it.
Unless you take drastic measures, shutdown yourself to the world, and turn into a country like North Korea.

I really wonder what makes you think it was the "EU" which caused the change. This choice will affect the lifes of you and your future generations as well. immense ramifications.

Output from the European Union will not solve magically your problems.
It is true that there is a problem with the influx of immigrants in 2004 (including the poles)
However isolation cause regression of the economy and the collapse of the UK (problem with Scotland, Ireland, Wales)
Then England it will be a small country with an average economy and GDP ..

David Cameron promised a lot of stupid things in the elections as Kaczynski - now brought Britain into trouble.

I think that most people voted but not born in the UK.

My last comment: The process to get out took 2 years. In this time Britain can change their mind! I assume we have now the first shock, but if we will have the first facts, Britain will stay... ;)

I will quote me in 2 years again. :)

I voted out - not really because of things the EU has done 'to my country' but simply because it is going in a direction I do not wish to travel.

Over the coming months we will see how much of the threats of tariffs and customs issues will materialise in reality. I am still unclear what the implications for things like trades on Amibay will be - I don't believe that anyone can know at this point, ans the political and economic incentives are very different.

I think there are many things that could change the direction of travel. If we have another election quite soon and a party wins that stood on an manifesto promise of not withdrawing - that could be seen as enough to put a stop to it.
Also the structure of the EU may change significantly - another one or two major eurozone crises (not helped by Brexit) might see to that.
Its a long time in an uncertain world.
