basicly its just a muck around with a camera to see if it still works:lol:

if this is in the wrong place(which it probably is as im tired) can a mod please move it,thanks.

no worries roy maybe you can give us a hand with whats needed software wise/setup to get mine running that fast

maybe photobooth will be a better place for it

its probably the same as your's john as far as software goes.:)

its just warp3d on a voodoo, its just the 060's on steriods.

yep thats a good idea moving it thanks john.

yours is an apollo roy

maybe i need to swap my radeon back to voodoo as i dont need the ram now as ive got 192mb

probably, thats the draw back of having an apollo is its small memory space its silly:)
i'd looooove to have that much ram floating about..............wanna swap?

Nice work mate, thanks for sharing the Vid, so you get 24fps in Quake Timedemo with 060@ 100mhz

I'm getting 29.2fps from 330mhz PPC on the same setup, don't seem like fair value for money

Imagine what we would get with even faster 060's

oh an ppc@330mhz is a lovely setup steve,i think the bottleneck would be having it connected to the 1200's zorro 2 bus.

i love the blizzards there great cards ive got one here:)

i would really like to get my hands on an 060 capable of more than 100mhz:lol:

100MHz?

I thought 72MHzish was maximum you could get, 80 if real lucky.

You using some kind of special cooler for that? Voltage increase? What?

ive got a clear 486 cooler on this one(push click on type)with thermal compound, with a pull pull fan setup on the tower,no overvoltage it runs on 3.3 volts.:)

its a revision 6 cpu MC68060RC50.

yea its a pitty they stopped the 68k cpus

will have to have a play with cards

ive had my blizzy1260 from new

A good measure is sacking the board's 3.3V regulator and feed the accelerator with 3.3V directly from ATX PSU. Lots of current available and no voltage drop, which is the most common problem in such overclocking madness.

you can still get them altough they are a bit expensive from freescale, they turn up from time to time.

the blizzy is a bit different as it requires faster ram (50ns) to get to around 90mhz,cant do this of course if you have a scsi board(the scsi packs up at around 66mhz).but that defeats the object really:)

:lol:you must of read my mind, thats exactly what i did im using a 400 watt atx and fed the 3.3 volt line straight to the cpu i did notice it was crippling the 200watt at supply(this one died in the end)as it was over worked on the 5 volt line at startup,it got pushed over the edge at 100mhz.

the 200watt supply's crowbar protection was kicking in at the 100mhz mark(it was probably already dieing it was very old)

off topic but could i go faster if i was directly wired to the mains:run:

Also depends on where you want to go? Maybe to hardware heaven?

Excellent stuff - thanks for sharing =)

thanks zetro, ive been wanting to share this for over a year but i had no video camera:)

if anyone is intersted the camera i borrowed is a olympus sz-10 14 megapixal,i think im going to get one of these at a later date i really like it alot:)

also i have to add as a precaution if anyone try's to do this overclock to be aware that the 74f74 ic on apollo's are only rated upto 100mhz,so be carefull lads ive already replaced mine with a part of a higher rating.
