So I don't think I ever introduced myself here, and I have been here since 2011....
I grew up with a C64 (family machine) and Amiga 500 (brother's property, we once drew the whole Pirates map on the wall) , then came in a Pentium 100 and I started studying computer science and bought an Amiga 1200 and got involved with my own BBS, joined some local scene groups, was distro for some European groups and had accounts on all major boards (and ended up with a large telephone bill). During study I found that a lot of very cool systems got thrown away (retro computing wasn't a thing at all, people were glad you took C64's, XT's etc from their hands).
While living at my parents I had all the space so had Wang VS systems, full Intel Intellec rack, most home computers and lots of different business systems and servers like MicroPDP11's, microvax etc. During that time I got featured on national TV, local radio and ended up in HPdeTijd (a scientific) magazine and was a member of the now defunct SCEN (Stichting Computer Erfgoed Nederland = Dutch Computer Heritage organisation).
Then I got my own place, my parents moved smaller and a lof of common x86 systems were dumped (unfortunately now) and so these days I still have most Amiga's and I keep on trying to end up with less systems but keep on failing so somewhere along the line ended up with several Altos sytems, a Sun i386, some x86 stuff and still my Amiga's
The only thing I actively collect these days are brochures (which end up on https://classic.technology)
