I have an old expansion board for an A1000 that had a battery on it when I found it. I removed the battery, but it had leaked. I cleaned the area with vinegar, then soap and water, and finally isopropyl. But the board still has that green color of battery corrosion. See picture:

Should I try cleaning this further until that color is totally gone? Will it continue to corrode? The expansion works, so the damage appears to be superficial -- but I'd like to keep it from getting worse if possible. I just don't know if the green color is fluid from the battery or just damage.
Thanks!
