Personally, if we look at the plethora of software the Specky wins hands down, if we look at sales the C64 wipes the floor in terms of computers (actually the Amstrad CPW was the most sold 8bit computer)
The CPC and CPC+ range are the most logical extreme of a Z80 computer, where as the Spectrum was perhaps the cheapest thrill.
I love the Specky, I lost my soul to this machine when I was young.... but I lost my heart to the Amiga, and while I flirt and fancy with CPC's and 64's..... I am always back to the Miggy / Spectrum =)

You should listen to the news stuff like in the demo scene as they are using Amiga style tracker music on an unexpanded 128k which sounds amazing. Also I never said the spectrum had the best sound that belongs to the C64 and always will as i love the sid chip.
The chip in the amstrad cpc also makes some great chip music. I love chip music and always will be it c64, spectrum or cpc it dont matter to me.
AS for games well they all got there good and bad games every system has but i feel the spectrum in terms of graphics has slightly better in terms of detail. For colour I think thats the cpc with its awesome colour pallet.
As its been stated c64 has loads of shades of brown lol but it would still used to great effect in many games.
I just prefer the spectrum although I intend to own the cpc and the c64 along with my grey +2 to get a vast array of different gaming and to teach my kids about the awesome 8bits.

And it only got that because of the 128k machines!
I love the Spectrum, but I am not so blind as to see its short commings - and as a contraversial statement, I dont see sinclair as all that clever to be honest - infact, I would virge on the statement of him being a dumb-a$$

Welsh is a much closer relative to latin than any other language,
i could start naming examples but il just spout out a couple..
you have ffenestr window vs the Latin fenestra,
lead the metal in welsh is "plwmb" and in latin it's "plwmba" (or Pb on the periodic "easy to remember because its 1st and last letter")
Infact lots of the latin preiodic metals can be rememberd easily in welsh because the language is so close, an eample of this would be gold "Au" or the welsh word for gold.. "Aur"
Galic however is mopre related to the germanic "gauls" this is what the irish would speak.. and welsh is nothing like galic and galic is totaly incomprehendable to me lol.
the english picked up a bit of everything Kind of a medieval esperanto. like piws is welksh for purple, and a very welsh sounding word which crops up in english as a shad of pink.
What ever you may belive about the spelling and so on regarding english It is undoubtedly a very powerfull means of communication.
