Sold Matze 68030TK2 accelerator for A500 / A1000 / A2000

68030 accelerator Amiga 500, 1000 (not piggyback), or 2000 (with adapter). Twice as fast as a stock Amiga 3000, and over-clockable to 60Mhz using onboard jumpers.

Possible settings for the CPU frequencies include: 14, 15, 17, 20, 25, 28, 30, 35, 40, 42 , 50 and 60 MHz

Includes

• Motorola 68030 CPU 40Mhz (MC68EC030RP40C. The rev C is a 0.8um mask and generates less heat than earlier masks)
• Motorola 68882 FPU 40Mhz (MC68882FN40A)
• 64 MB of Fast-RAM running up to 120MHz.
• IDE controller with on-board auto-boot ROM.
• 68000 turn pin socket to elevate the card just a little bit to clear a capacitor on A500 rev6 board (still not too high so that keyboard will still fit)
• JTAG header to allow firmware update.

Firmware was updated yesterday to latest version (version "A" from 17.october 2024)

The 40Mhz parts overclock nicely to 50Mhz. Ran the card at 50Mhz and ran ATK mem check overnight (32 passes, picture included) with no crashes.

Tested with IDE to CF adapter and CF Card (not included).

Notes:

• you will need a good PSU (the standard A500 bricks will NOT work reliably with this beast). I use a CA-PSU from Individual Computers, as pictured, and it works great and stable.
• You will need a real kickstart ROM (not EPROM) or a good enough EPROM. I had some EPROMs which worked fine with a 68000@7Mhz but not with this card, and I struggled a bit to find a good one. If you need a 3.1 one guaranteed to work, I can provide it for +10€ extra.
