Built by myself and sold with permission by the project creator (www.amigaworld.de).

Please note, processor is not included. Sale is for adapter only. This adapter allows the use of a plcc 68000 or 68010 processor in a 68000 dip socket. Perfect for use in a Amiga 500/500+ or an Amiga 2000. This will almost certainly work in any 68000 computer that has a DIP 64 pin socket. However it has only been tested working in a Amiga.

9 available and no more will be made by me after this.

Edit. 3 left

£11 + £2.95 UK postage
EU around £6.50 but I will confirm with you.
Australia and US is £9

Anywhere else please ask for a price.

Hi mate. Item arrived today.
Thanks

Out of curiosity, what is the advantage of using this in a 500 or 2000? Ie why would you want to use this? Thanks

(Slightly irrelevant rant: In my mind the choice of plcc in the A600 complicates upgrade paths: I have never been able to reliably secure cpu upgrades in any of my A600s to the point that I stop using them)

For me, I had a spare plcc 68000 that I wanted to put to use, hence why I made a batch.

Probably not much advantage, A 68000 plcc is also said to be more energy efficient.

Someone bought one for a 68000 emulator device, not sure what it was exactly.

Also for me it's a bit of a quirky thing to do but probably not that much advantage.

Perhaps Matthias Munch can help answer, it is his project that he has kindly given permission for me to sell my excess boards.

There is a reverse project around that allows the use a dip 68000 in a Amiga 600.

Ah alright, using an existing cpu makes much sense, thanks for the thorough explanation! 🙂
