I have for sale a Motorola 68060 Rev 6 (71E41J) Edit: - Now Verified to be Genuine

I bought it NOS about 7 years ago and my intention was to buy an 040 accelerator and do a conversion one day.

But I have decided I should let this gem go to someone who can use it now because I am very happy with my PPC/060 Uber Amiga 1200 (And vanilla 8MB Fast RAM WHDLoad A1200).

Its mostly known in the Amiga world that these revisions can be run at up to 100MHz which is just pure awesome

Is this a Rev 6 or a Rev 1? I'm in a market for a 060 but have been concerned about fakes. I found a site that mentions that "71E41J mask suggesting it is a Rev6 CPU, though it is white printed. Engraved is 002, which is Rev1 CPU"

That's a Rev6 - it'll be from a good source Les doesn't muck about!

According to mask and the way of the labelling, this is a real Rev.6 CPU.

Its an original Rev 6 not a fake. I would never advertise a fake. I can tell a fake a mile off just by the print type

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I did not intend to besmirch you.. just found conflicting information. Seems there's conflicting information everywhere these days.

Its really hard to tell yes. I have an original rev 6 in my Amiga 1200 PPC and it has "002" on the end and the mask printed in white too and its certainly not fake either. The problem right now is I have no way of proving it via whichamiga (unless I solder off the 68060 from My Blizzard PPC).

A hint is with the "MC68060RC50" text... usually fakes are white here (although some are real like freescale ones) but the ones that are in a hint of pink are real. the one I have for sale is pink in text

But seeing as I can't prove it right now, if the buyer is unhappy in any way, I will refund them and pay the shipping of the CPU back to me so they will basically not be out of pocket

Ok I sent this CPU to my good friend tbtorro to verify for me. He has done so.

It is a genuine Rev 6 060 that he tested at 80MHz.

So it is at least guaranteed to work at that speed. He will be sending it back to me tomorrow so I will have it again soon.
