Sorry for the low sound on Doom, I need to fix that!

Nice! I always wondered what was wrong with you to sell the ACA630 and buy a ACA620. Now I know. :thumbsup:

Thanks my friend, I don't have your OCD with cables though :lol:

is that a mas player in the left corner?,and a custum rom.

Yeah it does, both... mfilos has taken the pimping to a new level!

Great components!. For sure this Amiga cant take any more HW due to small space left! :D

I don't think the A600 needs anything else anyway! :D

A delightful review my friend and a wonderful thread!

I am really pleased I traded the ACA620 from you - its a delightful beast and its just loving the 60GB HDD - I need to set up the Indi ECS sometime soon as there are some tests that I would like to do..

An interesting feature with the Amiga is the ability to change the clock from PAL to NTSC, this is a 20% performance increase in processing as the clock running the custom chips is running faster.

I susepct that this will make quite a difference with Doom - Extra Half Bright mode (EHB) - I would be curious if this would make any difference with the Indivision ECS - while I doubt it would make much (if any) in putting pixels to the screen, it may improve the time taken to generate these pixels... hmm test need to be done.

If you find yourself with a few minutes and burning desire to know... then have a try.

Also have a look for a program called "FMQuad" there is version called NTSC-FMQuad too... the program swaps out blitter routines for faster CPU routines - sadly I cannot find it on Aminet, I have a copy somewhere around here.

Thanks for the kind words guys :thumbsup:

@Zetr0 I'm really pleased you're enjoying the ACA620 :)

I'll have a lookout for this tool you mention :cool:
