I just bought a working keyboard to my Amiga 2000. The problem now is that my amiga wont boot at all when I have the keyboard pluged in.
When I switch on there is just a beeping sound that keeps going. The beeping comes from a kickstart switch. I have tried without the kickstartswitch but with no luck.

Can someone help me with this please?

Try plugging it after you have switched the A2000 on. What happens?

Also try plugging it not fully in but just barely enough for the pins to make contact and see if it works that way.

Is the romswitch operated by holding keys persistently at boot?
If so, you might just have a keyboard with the classic "stuck key syndrome".
If it is a broken spring (key pushed down by its own weight), the machine might boot ok if you hold the keyboard upside-down.
Rattle the keys, wiggle the suspect keys slightly sideways, maybe that unsticks a key that has had too much coffee/tea/soda.

Grtz, PymerOne.

Thanks guys for taking time to answer!

I found that R914 was burned, I just change it for a new one and now it works perfect

In my extreme ignorance I would hazard a guess that R stands for Resistor and 914 is the associated number given to it

or something similair :-)
