That is one of the craziest HxC integrations I've seen, and also one of the nicest. Very well done. :)

Cheers guys :grouphug:

It was a tough mod which took quite a bit of patience and effort.
Most challenging part was to align perfectly the slot of the slim floppy to the case disk hole. Dremeling the base and testing every once and a while was really time consuming but it actually paid of!

Part 2 will have some aesthetic and also functional improvements and the final adjustment to the original upper shell (the one used in the pictures as I said, was a temporary case I had from my previous project).
I'm still waiting some parts to arrive from eBay so I guess it will happen this or the next week.

Stay tuned :)

I'll take it! I will arrange the courier to come pick up the machine :p:p:p

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

great workmanship as always my friend :thumbsup2:

Pure..... AWESOME! :o Incredible job Marios, and looking in detail at the photos I can REALLY appreciate the amount of work you've put into this mod! Absolutely epic mate! :thumbsup:

Air is sucked in from the top and the exhaust is blown across the heat-sink.

I could be wrong, should the fan suck from the bottom, then you should have an arrow on the side of the fan housing plastic denoting airflow direction.

It's very easy to see on the fins which way it's blowing air, as they have a curve to scoop more air.

@mfilos: Love it :)

I would mount fans under the top case outlet, and not 1 but 3 or 4 at least and have them blowing air out.

Your airflow then becomes heat out of the top and sucking cool air from under the Amiga.

@Buzzfuzz
My A600 is not an Desktop A1200 with BPPC + BVision to justify so many fans.
The only thing that gets hot is the ACA630 and nothing else.
Even if I wanted... more than 1 fan even in the top shell is not possible due to MAS-Player's position, Keyboard Ribbon position and Floppy's position.
I could have putted the Fan in the ACA area on the top shell but I preferred to put it directly to ACA. With the silent fan no more heat issues on ACA so everthing's fine.

@DonAmiga
It was indeed the hardest and more tense cut I performed to an Amiga.

that dual led.... AWESOME!!! looks factory made too! kudos Marios!

Congratulations mfilos !!!
Amazing work :blink: I love your blog as well as your sense of detail...

Thank you all guys for your good comments :)
Tbh I was expecting some minor negativity due to cutting the original case but it seems it was okeish :D

@rkauer
