Because now I only have those kind. (I've said it numerous times in this thread, and there were pictures too) Please refer to the first page of this thread for jumper settings.

ok, please keep me informed if the next better batch is available - and i'll by two more - the current ones are a lil ugly, sry

hi codekiller, if you have one of the (interim /last design or otherwise) nanoswinsid's remaining i'd like to buy 1 more please. interested! :) ps I'm, in uk.

Please be patient my friend, the new design is really close to be finalized. It will has support for almost every old and new music/games (precise noise calculation, readable registers, etc...)
It will cost a bit more however... sorry, but there are a lot more components involved and a lot of time invested. Even the building takes much more time.

Paddles and 1351-like mice will be 100% compatible!
It uses another microcontroller and a pair of shift-registers for this function only.

Oh Yes!

Forgot to ask: I noticed the DIP pins you have used on the prototype photo in the OP are too big and will certainly damage the socket of a C64.

Are these the pins you use on production units or did you change that to pins with a more adequate size?

FYI: I use 0.018" pins on PLAnkton.

Also, did you check the amount of power used by Nano SwinSID HC ?

Now I use round ~0.65mm diameter pin-headers. These can fit in a precision IC socket.

i haven't measured that, but the new SwinSID with the additional ICs consumes about 100mA @ 5V if the LEDs are off.

AFAIK, these pin-headers are damaging to normal DIP sockets.

IMHO, you should use 0.46mm diameter pin-headers.

0.65mm pin headers are designed to be used with flat ribbon cable connectors, not DIP circuit sockets.

Sidenote: I want to buy 2 units when they become available.

Well yes, thank you for asking!
You can follow it on the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/swinsidultimate/

A lot have been changed and improved, and still improving. The "zero batch" is out (thanks everyone who bought them), now a bit cleaned version is in the making (waiting for components and PCB)
(it looks like i have to buy components for a second run too :) )

I am very interested in your product and would probably like to purchase 2 units. However your inability to recognize the type of pins you have used can be damaging to sockets is a strong deterrent.

@CodeKiller
I don't have a facebook account but if the pins are now 0.45mm then I consider the issue resolved and I am definitely interested in 2.

Please PM me.

Hi there, sorry to bother but any idea when these will be ready, I'd definitely like to purchase one. Also, are they still on WHITE boards?

Anybody can preorder of course (but i intend to catch up with the orders, that's why not advertising it so much yet)
Please PM me (here or in facebook) for details.

Thanks!
