Oh Yes!Paddles and 1351-like mice will be 100% compatible!
It uses another microcontroller and a pair of shift-registers for this function only.
Now I use round ~0.65mm diameter pin-headers. These can fit in a precision IC socket.
i haven't measured that, but the new SwinSID with the additional ICs consumes about 100mA @ 5V if the LEDs are off.
