Howdy! Just introducing myself...
in the mid 80s I had a C64 breadbin setup with 1702 and 2x1541's. For nostalgia's sake I've been trying to put together a working system and finding it to be quite a struggle. Currently I'm running a C128 (exclusively in C64 mode), connected to a 1702 modded to accept an S-video plug (along with an Atari 2600 modded for S-video out). Ive gone through half a dozen fried 1541s and 1571s and I've given up on ever having a reliable floppy drive, so now I'm waiting on delivery of a 1541 Ultimate II+. Hopefully I'll have a chance to use it before my original brick power supply fries the C128.
My other interests are reading (sci-fi, philosophy, religion, history, sociology, science, humor) and playing banjo.
I'll post separately with specific questions that maybe others can help me with in getting a C64 system set up.
