Hi All,

Just thought i'd let you know i have started a new project. For those people that own an A600 you know what a pain it is sometimes to use a device that has wings on the 9 pin connector that you cannot plug into the A600 without an extension cable. Well, i have a small adapter board that will plug into both mouse and joystick port and allow all your fatter 9 pin devices to plug in with no bother.

Now the fun part, The board has a built in PS2 adapter that you can plug your ps2 mouse in. The control chip will be socketed to allow everyone to program their own code should they wish. (programmer obviously required)

Also with thanks to Paul Willingham, the board will also have a built in Playstation controller adapter so you can use your playstation controller on your Amiga or Atari. This adapter can basically be used on ANY of the old retro gaming consoles. Check out the compatibility of the psx adapter, very impressive

Here is some info on the capabilities of his adapter at work

The board will also plug in directly to the ports of the A1200 with a small extender board (~$7) or a pair of extension cables. I don't have an Atari so i do not know measurements so unless i get more info the Atari's would require a pair of short extension cables..

If there is demand i may make an extender board for the A500 but my adapter will also work fine on the A500 (and the remaining models including cd32) with extension cables.

Projected cost will be ~$34 Cad and the PSX adapter cable approx ~$7 (or if you want, you can chop off the connector on your playstation controller and put on a 9 pin connector (but i dont recommend mutilating it.

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions

Release date will be ~end May, i should have some pictures at end of month, size is approx 3.5" x 1.5"

Nice, I have a couple of Paul's adapters they are EXCELLENT!
And a nice project you have , you are most welcome to sell it here too once it is completed!

I prefer playstation controllers over the common used Amiga joysticks, so yes interested. I bought one joypad for amiga, I like it, but it has not the quality of a playstation controller.

I'd be interested in one of these, with extension cables so I can use it in all my machines (600/3000/CD32)

Hi All,

Now i am almost ready to start building these its time to start canvassing people for their interest in buying these.

I am limited to the chips i received from Paul so those people that have already declared interest i will offer to first (both this thread and the EAB thread) based chronologically. I did not buy too many (for obvious reasons) and I will make more if demand calls for it. If you would like to be added to the list, then please add your name to this thread with what you would like (ie. 1 player/2 player version so i can get an idea as to the level of interest. I dont want your money... (Yet:) and you can always withdraw your interest at any point. If a second batch is required then it would take about 3 weeks from time i order more parts.

Keeping in line with thread rules, the prices haven't changed, there are more options available.

You will now not require an adapter cable from the PSX controller. The PSX controller will plug directly into the adapter board and there will be a one player and 2 player version available

the 2 player version will sell at ~$44 Cad but please allow me for a couple of dollars deviation based on extra costs i had to incur for alternate shipping due to Canadapost strike.

Should have everything finalised on thursday or Friday

Hi all, these will be going on sale tomorrow, pictures then. looks like this thread has been moved so i'll post a link i've made of where i am selling them

I'm in for one of these with extender cables if it works with CD32 as well?
