Just got round to trying out this Duratool vacuum solder sucker, and I am very impressed just practiced on an old board then attacked an A600 IDE header and the results speak for themselves (see pic),temp set at 350c, held on a couple of secs, quick wiggle then suck lol, even those pesky Electrolytics were removed no problem.

Why?

I have a hot air soldering station and i cleared a a600 mobo in a few mins to try it and had fun doing it and was amazed how quick it could be done.

Okey Dokey John thanks, also sorry mate I lost my best buddy to cancer a few days ago and I am a bit touchy at the mo :(

Looks awesome, have been looking for one for a while but always been a bit worried one of Ebay will end up being rubbish. Where'd you get this one?

I got the same model a few years ago - works really well but make sure you clean it out now and then. It can clog up with cold solder and stops the sucking action.

I've got the same model, and after having an Ebay all in one Chinese job...this tool is great. But definitely clean the gun filter and barrel regularly...it is surprising how much solder you can such up in it!
