i still say the 360 just got worse press, the other have all had thier fair share of problems the only difference is ms don't charge you a couple of hundred quid to repair/replace it

Yes the 360 was released in late 2005 , prototyped tested in early/mid 2005 and the specs set in 2004 - hence 2004 tech. Ms pushed the design and manufacturing to the limit - time wise with the 360. From drawing board to first run was only a few months. It is still the quickest console from drawing board to production.

This is one reason why the xbox seems poorly designed and built , because in effect it was rushed from start to finish. The redesign was delayed too long and the red light error gave it bad press but hey look at windows, the worst operating system and still in production 20 years later.

It will be interesting to see what the next gen stuff can do..

I expect ms will have Amd / ati setups of many cores and fantastic graphics ..In a fusion esq thingy ma bob , no DVD drive and pay as you play ..

Or some such cloud based £££ Set up

in my eyes the 360 has always been in beta stage it has never been tested the right way. I mean my zx spectrum still works to this day yet i have gone through 4 xbox 360's until i gave up the console for good.

I even had a slim and that even gave me the red light.

Funny really when you think the first xbox was built like a tank and i never had any problems with it at all.
Yes well ZX's are alot more basic then a 360. Also funny how half the ZX's I buy are often fubar'd.
