Community Service FYI:

Be careful how you describe your goods for shipment.

We have arrived in a day and age when tempting words tempt plenty of hands that touch your shipment across the shipping path. I recommend use of generic and unappealing terms with unsexy words like "used" "non-working" "broken" "for repair" "junk"(Japanese rightfully like this wise description of vintage/retro electronics goods), etc. High value declarations are now a potential liability too.

Why do I mention that? Recently I bought a 68030 25Mhz CPU. Description of the listing started with "Ceramic Gold" and was duplicated onto the customs form. What arrived was an empty envelope. Opened because of the "Gold" without doubt.

People are hurting out there and resorting to grabbing goods from shipments that appeal and sound tempting. Don't let your declaration descriptions provide temptation. Customs form is no place for braggadocious descriptions that sound tempting. I recommend downplaying the appeal of the goods inside.

Agreed. I have always been very aware of this and tag as above to limit potential custom fees and the thieves. Vintage cpu would have probably been the safest description.
