@darefail

Then change the format and force them to use it.

Example: Select For Sale as per usual then a sub section appears to selcet Tested/Working, Spares/Repairs

The selected then becomes binding and applicable to any DOA rule that might be introduced at a later stage.

Not rocket science ...

Of course that would be an option 👍
Sometimes rocket science would be easier than resolving such matters.

The easy thing is to create new prefixes.
The hard thing is to make everyone follow them while using them in the "honest" way.
When I say in my description that the item is not tested, why should I have to choose the untested prefix, while the other guy who sells his untested item, is hiding behind the "for sale" prefix?

If you're honest, no problem. But if you're dishonest you'll be found out sooner or later, then you should be prepared to kiss your Amibay account goodbye.

I feel I must not reply to this post of yours and end this small chatting here.
Let's stick to the "no DOA" and maybe as you suggested a new prefix other than "for sale".

I've not read through the entire thread but my take on this is if i sell something as working i leave the money in my account until the buyer has received and confirmed they are happy. I always send tracked and usually i pop the buyer a message within a day or two of delivery if they haven't messaged me and just ask if everything has arrived safely and tell them if they have any issues then to let me know. I don't offer a warranty but if something arrived damaged or DOA i would, and have in the past, offered solutions such as replacement, returns, refunds etc. I think with stuff of this age both buyer and seller have to some sort of agreement that you'll ship/receive the item in the advertised condition but beyond that you're on your own. The only time i insist on a buyer having no recourse is if they want uninsured/untracked shipping or declaring lower customs values etc although i tend not to offer shipping abroad that much these days since brexit made it more awkward.
