Well some of you might think this is my own fault but i used an virtual credit/debit card on Paypal. This usually works fine but sometimes the card gets declined when paying.
So i just added another virtual card and it usually works after 1 or 2 tries. But, it seems after you do this 15 times total. They just limit the account not allowing you to withdraw any money, pay for purchases, etc.
And this with no warning?
OK i understand this is to prevent card scammers but surely a card scammer wouldn't do scam with 15 cards all issued to the same person, Namely me. I've also done the whole verification process where they take (approximately 1$, for each purchase) some money from your account for 2 days, and you type in a code. Probably just to hog interest (take 1$ * the millions who use paypal everday)
I am severly ****ed of at Paypal and the whole damn bubble of modern day economy/banking. Screwing with the small people to make big bucks!!!

Sorry to hear about all the trouble. :( Unfortunately, PayPal is the best way to buy from private individuals because there's some protection in case of trouble. I've noticed that I can't use Visa gift cards on pretty much any online site so they aren't of much use to me. I know yours are virtual cards, but they are probably handled about the same.

Hope you get it all straightened out soon.

Do you mean those "vanilla cards?" Amazon declines them all of the time...
The problem I have with paypal is probably more of an ebay thing. Paypal shows that I have $480, but 400 of it is "pending," so I can't pay my rent!!!

Yes so much for the "cooperation" between eBay and Paypal then. Should be making things smoother i thought, never sold on eBay just on swedish alternative, Tradera and here we almost always pay with bank transfer.
Even for large amounts we still have protection against scams *without* Paypal so i'm glad for that.
