Shadow of Mordor is a really good action "hack and slash" game. It's controls can be a bit confusing to start with but it's worth keeping at it because it's well realised, and from a side of MiddleEarth you don't normally experience.

I must say though that I think I paid even less that $13 when I purchased it in a offer when it first came out. Possibly a one day Steam sale with something silly like 90% off. If you wait until Christmas sales on Steam I bet it will be even less.

No, it wasn't gamesplanet. I think it was CDKeys or maybe even G2A.com. And I upgraded to GOTY on steam for £2.99 in the summer sale.

BTW, it's £9.76 on G2A at the moment.

Oh yeah, about G2A, did you buy something from them?
EU members have to add 23% VAT to the price, no? But what will happen if I'll say I'm not from EU? :D

I've purchased quite a few games though G2A.com. Never had any issues with them and never had any additional VAT applied. Is it 23% in Poland?

G2A.com is actually just a trading marketplace and not a storefront, with anyone from developers to those with spare Steam keys wanting to sell them on.

It also has their protection which you pay a little bit more for when you buy a key to safeguard against a key not working.

I know what G2A is, and their "G2A Shield" feature, but it's confusing that it asks me if I'm an eu bussiness with or without VAT registered, or outside of eu, which are 0% VAT, or by country it adds 18-25% VAT.
Also, UK for me says you should pay 20% VAT, so this is just ridiculus if these options don't showup for you. Unless you chose the 0% option at registration or something.

Satellite Reign

The spiritual successor to Syndicate, this is a brilliant game well worth buying if you were a fan of the original.

However, don't buy this on Steam as they are asking £18. Instead buy it for GOG.com. But not directly, as that is still £15.49). Instead head over to G2Play.net and buy the GOG.com key for about £7.28.

Also if you haven't used GOG in some time take a look at GOG Galaxy. This is there new GOG game library manager, similar to the Steam client. It installs and runs from your desktop and lets you manage your game library, install and play games, view game achievements, link with fellow GOG friends etc.. and also access the main GOG.com site through Galaxy to purchase games and manage your account further. And with the upcoming 1.1 update they are promising cross client communication and multiplayer, so Steam and Galaxy will be able to play together. I'm really hoping they will be able to make it possible to see your GOG games in Steam (including your achievements) but I might be wishing a bit too far.

It's actually £4.67 when I just looked. So even better!

Is that game actually any good though?

On steam, it had mixed review for Mortal combat x

where one saying this

You cannot use any DLC characters in offline mode. From a WB email

"In regards to the Goro issue, this character along with the other DLC characters require an active internet connection to be used. Unfortunately, we do not have a workaround for this at this time, we apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Thank you,

Also mixed review on Amazon

IF you going buy the game, expect 30GB Plus to download it...just for the game!

It's actually 43GB! Still, not the largest game I have. Not too bothered by the size of games as I'm on a fast connection and Steam is one of the few services which actually Max out the connection.

BTW, those issues you mention above are obsolete now. It was an issue with Steam's precache system, but it's meant to be fixed now. And you can install and play the DLC using a manual install method from the game properties window in Steam.

I have Batman Arkham City (software version) (downloaded online). If anyone interested please contact via PM.
