:O a tetrahedron dice! (die) Don't see those very often!

Edit: and a dodecahedron! :O is that an icosahedron too?!

"Don't see those very often," huh? You need to get out more, boy. They are, like, all too common. :coffee:

And by get out I assume you mean stay in and be more nerdy?

...every single dungeons and dragons set ever......

btw, most people use 2- 10 sided die to do percents, but you can also buy 100-sided ones.

the Star Wars Minis were a game produced between 2004-2010, i have been going back and collecting them this year, i had meant to get into them back then, but unfortunately when i had the time, i never had the money, and vice-versa.

the X-Wing minis are a newer game that's been out about a year, it is a ship to ship dogfighting type of game.

i like the figs a lot, they are quite detailed.

X-Wing also has another series of ships coming out soon, B-Wings, Lambda class shuttles ("shuttle Tydirium"), TIE Bombers and HWK-290 (Kyle Katarn)

here are some of the other ones i have so far:

Glad the DC gets a lot of love here guys  Nice stuff you got there Gouldin :)

Some new goodies for my Console Collection :D

Panasonic 3D0 - I'm really pleased with this, looks like it's very well built and had a blast on NFS, will need to hook this baby up to my projector

Awesome Graphics

P1050090_zps08b6c585.jpg

Great Gameplay! I love the original NFS, just like the early Test Drive Games but better 3D!

P1050091_zpsa6e75017.jpg

Philips CDi 450 - Another recent acquisition, in fact I got two of these as part of a job lot and already passed one on, annoyingly only wireless controllers were included and don't work on the 450 without a receiver box which seems to be pretty rare.

Not to worry I picked up some games and a 3 Button pad from Kwaz on these boards (Thanks mate!)

Now I'm up and running :ninja:

Next up I will need to get an FMV cart and Mad Dog Mc'Cree, I loved that game in the Arcades. :coffee:

So jealous. :) I really want to pick up a 3DO and CDI at some point.

Heather

it is strange isn't it, one mans scrap is another mans treasure, i hated my 3DO and couldn't wait to get rid of it. it was almost as bad as the Jag, lol ok it was no where near as bad as the Jag, but still not great

be interested to read Steve's views on the Philips :)

Thanks for the kind words Heather, hope you can find them soon :) I think we're really lucky here in the UK as we seem to be able to pick up a lot of retr0 hardware quite cheaply and easily.

I need to put in some decent hours on the CDi before I can fully rate it.

With any system IMHO it's the Games that make it, if it boasts games that you really like then it helps.

So far for the 3D0 I like the controller, it's responsive and comfortable to use.

I've not tried the other games yet but NFS is smooth and enjoyable. I have to remind me self of the PS1 version too as I used to really enjoy that and have fond memories.

I have a Jag on the way, I think your review has given me low expectations so probably I'll be really happy with it lol.

Comparing the CDi and the 3D0 I think the 3D0 is the better looker, the 3D0 was and still is more expensive and the more powerful unit.

The CDi 450 was a budget version to compete with the Games console market and it shows, there's only composite output no SVideo like on the 3D0, it seems quite cheaply built (cheap plastic, the CD lid seems flimsy)

I gather the FMV adapter for the 3D0 is very hard to find however and is quite cheap to pick up for the CDi.

i thought the standard 3do pad was OKish the streetfighter pad was better, need for speed smooth? really? it is famed for being jerk-o-vision:lol:

wing commander worked well as did Space Hulk (same as the pc version rather than the Amiga version)

i did like the styling of the flip top version and the 3do was more expensive? mine was about the cost of fish and chips twice:lol::lol:

LOL! I never played a 3DO so I want one just to try it out. I suppose I should check out the emulators (if there are any) before I spend money on a system. I have played the CDI before and I liked what I played on it. I seem to remember that the controller wasn't very good, but none of the games I played were fast action.

(Warns TheCorfiot for an impending JiffyDos Installation :D )

You can't go wrong with a SD2IEC. Way to go, Sardine. Mine is the larger board but works all the same.

Digital life expanded :-D
Also the Samsung Galaxy S4 is my first smart phone ever

The Gopro is a black edition, mainly intended for in the car as I was about to buy a serious dashcam, someone pointed me to this, twice if not 3 times better than the dashcam and also more fun and features.
I owe him a bit of thank you
