Just a thrift-shop kinda day (ie: payday :p)

mostly books and games, shame...but the vintage/retro gaming/computing has seemed to have dried up entirely... (given the age of things, estate sales are probably the way to go now... ;) )
Games:

Mad Magazine Card Game (Parker, 1980)
Rubik's Magic Puzzle (Matchbox/Irwin, 1986)

Books:

Find Asterix (HC) (Hodder, 1998 ) (sort of an Asterix 'where's waldo')
Decide your Destiny #3 - Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Tethan Battle Adventure (Penguin, 2010)
FF#17 - Island of the Lizard King (Wizard, 2003 reprint)
Marvel Super Heroes Adventure Gamebook #1 - The Amazing Spider-man - City in Darkness (TSR, 1986)
CYOA #3 - Space and Beyond (Chooseco, 2005 reprint)
CYOA #138 - Dinosaur Island (Bantam, 1993)
CYOA #146 - Soccer Star (Bantam, 1994)

plus a coupla those cheap dollar-store BluRay movies

Fatherhood/Life with Mikey Double Feature
Hollywood Homicide/Hudson Hawk Double Feature

Wait a minute - he's doing the same things with my Atom and BBC Master lol :) Great minds and all that  As long as he didn't mix up our Atoms lol I don't mind if he did the Master as yours looks in better shape :D

Very nice collection

PS Could you mention my TG-16 recapping to him if you speak to him again - I am sure it's been a week since I last reminded him :P

Ooh a super busy week..

sx-64: thanks to soeter. Works nicely. Keyboard a bit patchy as we knew, will try to fix that in the next weeks. The sx-64 on the right :)

Also got an SX-64 and it had similar key issues.
Cleaned it up very carefully (use isopropyl and some q-tips and clean each contact point very lightly) and it's 100% now.

Found another keyboard for spares so will have both latches in good order shortly. :)

Don't feel bad - Bas has a few of my bits for around that length of time if not longer (I think). Everything in its own time

yeah I seem to save up 6 months worth at a time, while this lot should fill up my play time til winter 2016 I've left one or two things on his list!

he is a busy chap. I did try to get out of the way fairly quickly :)

sardine, is TheCorfiot fixing your keyboard?

Love my sx-64. Mine had a broken connection for joystick port 1, I fixed that (bad cable), the sid is half dead (I'll drop in a swinsid) and while my keyboard loosened up a touch I will need to do the isopropanol alcohol clean myself, just like you did sweetlimre. Was it hard to do? hours and hours? is the membrane as fragile as I fear it will be?

i think i will be doing my keyboard as it will take a lot of bas time.. (would like him to do it but he is a busy chap)

he is replacing my sid chip which i got from Amibay, seeing if it can be converted to PAL (its NTSC) I will keep the PSU 110v and see why it randomly crashes. if its too much of a task (money vs time) it will be scrapped for parts.

Hi,

Wasn't too hard, the trick is just to go very. very slowly when you are pulling the membrane up off of the circuit board.

My tips:

1. When removing the keys, make sure you don't loose any of the tiny springs in the middle. If you do, the key will no longer work.
2. Go slowly on the membrane. It will be stuck on both sides of where the key clips on. If you pull too hard it will tear. Lift gently from each side until it releases. Work around the membrane from each edge so that it lifts evenly.

If you ever decide to scrap it, please can I have dibs on some parts? :)

Almost finished putting this together. C64 reloaded motherboard and transparent case from the kickstarter with the 3D printed keyboard standoffs from COREi64 (available on this forum).

Couldn't help myself on this one.

If you found an original and immaculate copy of Lemmings you'd likely buy it as well... especially if it was unbelievably cheap.

Touch Point for Commodore 64. Just have to make a new pen and find a Finger Painter cartridge.

There are some really nice pens that were made for the PSION and some ebook readers that would work fine with this and are probably very cheap on the other bay.

Bryce.
