Got myself an Apple Tv. The idea is to connect it to my amplifier with the toslink cable and use my iPad to access my music library to play it through the amp.

picked up an A1000 (base unit only) and it came with an extra A1000 system board, but both non working, for $45 US.

already repaired the A1000 base unit (just bad mainboard ram) now gonna start on the seperate motherboard, same boot issues, so i am assuming system ram first and go from there.

picked up a powermac G5, gonna have a look at OSX (never tried that OS), installing Linux and, of course, morphos

amazed a machine that cost 3300 euro when it was released, now goes for 100 euro
it's the 2.5Ghz dual processor version and it has 5.5Gb of memory (what a weird amount)

glad it can handle a regular (steelseries) mouse, i don't even want to get used to that weird mouse it came with :)

I picked up a late Amiga 500 yesterday. I'm hoping it to be a Rev8 motherboard with ECS Denise but haven't opened it up yet to make sure. According to the seller the Kickstart is 1.3.

I'm planning to get a Vampire 500 v2 for it once they become available.

Gamepad for C64. You can select the button functions with the switches. Each button can be fire or jump (up). The gamepad was made of a cheap USB dogbone gamepad.

TOD clock circuit. With this the TOD clock is functional if you use a DC only PSU for the C64 short board. BTW which games and programs use the TOD clock?

GEOS and a few of the Word Processors maybe?

Picked up Lotus 2 for both Amiga and ST, for some future link up cross platform gaming. :-)

ok this is VERY dull :P but got this lead in the post today, its because of my utter lack of skills :P simply a floppy to 3 pin fan connector. Attached to the y splitter from floppy connection.

I'm sure someone is going to tell me there was some mad simple way to do this now and ive been a noob :D

I long wanted to expand my knowledge and possibilities, so I bought a welding infrared station. It's a midrange station, but more than enough for my learning purpouses.

An Amiga 600.. had the dreaded Caps lock on... So removed a faulty cap and replaced it with a working one.
Working very nicely now

Picked up a new Kickstart 3.1 chip from AmigaKit and a 4GB compact flash and IDE converter for my A600, in anticipation of a Vampire2 card arriving in the coming months. The existing Kickstart was .229, so doesn't support booting from the CF card.

A600_NewBits_small.jpg

5 minutes later and the Kickstart chip is in, then the CF Card and housing.

A600_KickstartIn.jpg
And all good booting to the 3.1 Kickstart Screen and a new Workbench 3.1 installed - Yaay :)

Boxed famicom twin with a couple of games and everdrive N8. One of Tim Worthington's rgb boards is currently in the post for it too.

alright, so I spent 3 weeks in August in Duncan, BC, visiting family...as a result wound up with a few hundred $$$ left over that I wouldn't normally have come the end of the month... (hardly spent anything while I was away...there isn't much in Duncan...)

Thought I would catch up a bit with Imperial Assault and a few other games.

picked up:

Star Wars: Rebellion

IA: Bespin Gambit - Skirmishes on Bespin, 2 Heros, 3 Ugnaughts, 6 Guards, map tiles, etc.
IA: Lando Calrissian
IA: Bossk
IA: Obi-Wan Kenobi
IA: Greedo

X-Wing: Punishing One (Dengar)

might catch up a bit more with X-Wing next month, there's a few ships I don't have yet, and a few more on the way...

oh yeah, one of the next Imperial Assault expansions coming out is Jabba's Realm, which includes map tiles for (as near as I can tell) Jabba's Palace, Sarlacc pit and Sail Barge, as well as a large Rancor figure...
