Got in another haul on Sunday, going through all of it today! I gave the guy $50 for delivery of it.
So far found:
Hardware:
Boxed stock Commodore A1200 with 80 meg drive- box is "generic" White/blue Commodore box (rough shape) -looks like just the "A1200 manual" is missing, all 3.0 disks, all other books, mouse there. nothing in expansion bay. Nice and white
Boxed Stock A500, has 2 1.2 disks (I believe on 2 disks were with 1.2) all manuals there, a tad yellowed, but not bad. Nothing in expansion bay.
Boxed Commodore branded 1084 monitor (white "generic" commodore box-good shape)
Yellowed Commodore C64C- just loose, no PS
3 Commodore 1541 drives- 1 regular, 2 1541C, 1 yellowed (manuals with- no boxes)
1 GVP DSS8+ with book disks etc.
1 generic External Amiga floppy.
6 assorted Joysticks
Software:
Besides about 500 Amiga floppies (including at least 3 BBS packages), I have found 4 Vic 2o carts, 3 Vic 20 Cassettes, another 100 or so C64 floppies (including a few BBS packages)
Books and boxed games:
A bunch of assorted hardware manuals, Sim City for the Amiga, Wayne Gret. hockey, TV sports football, Tennis Cup.
I still have a few more boxes to go through, but looks like 50 DEMO disks (spaceballs etc)

Thanks! Even though it does not come with a case, it will fit in a standard SEGA Genesis cartridge. I'm going to look through the games I have and find the least valuable one to cannibalize for its case. :twisted:Congrats for getting it working SDG, shame theres not some sort of casing for it though.
I've only tried a few Genesis/MegaDrive games on it so far and it's working OK. I tried Sonic & Knuckles game that had a neat video saying "No Way" because it was not plugged into another cartridge. I'll figure out a way around that some time.

I've been trying to get flash carts for all my retro gaming systems. I really want one for the N64.@quarkx
Wow! That's quite a haul. I might be interested in getting some of that BBS software from you if it is still readable. I'm thinking of running a BBS on my Amiga again for fun.

There's still quite a lot of BBS software available on Aminet. I used TronBBS (now to be found as TrionBBS) in the past - it's a shareware package very much like and compatible with Xenolink. It's written by a Dutch guy who still does some Amiga work - maybe you can still obtain a keyfile from him!

Thanks! I'll try to look him up. I would want to run some good Door games because I think that would be one of the biggest attractors for people to use a BBS now.

I tried Sonic & Knuckles game that had a neat video saying "No Way" because it was not plugged into another cartridge. I'll figure out a way around that some time.
Sonic & Knuckles brings up that screen if you plug a non-Sonic game into the pass-thru connector on the cartridge (It's designed for Sonic 2 & Sonic 3 to plug in to it)
It's also worth noting the message, the first three are "NO WAY!" but the fourth one is "NO WAY?" -- A subtle hint... If you hold down A+B+C on this screen, you get to play a random Sonic 3-style special stage. If you plug in Sonic 1, you get a whole game full of these special stages!

Thanks AndyLandy! I actually figured out from the video that it was a pass-through cartridge like you said. The sad thing is that I think I actually have the Sonic and Knuckles cartridge so I should have known that! LOL!
I didn't know about the special stage though. I wonder if I can use the pass-through cartridge with the Everdrive-MD... Could be a neat experiment.

Congrats on getting the SNES Powerpak. I absolutely love both of my Powerpaks (I have the NES one too). I hope RetroUSB makes more flash carts in the future.

Sounds absolutely familiar, I loved doorgames as well. Too bad the phonecompany loved them as well - I've had quite some spicy phonebills back in those days....
If you like doors, I'd also suggest MaxsBBS. It's not as powerful, expandable and highly comfigurable as other BBS packages, but there's quite a lot of very nice doorgames available for it...

I just picked up Caesars Palace for the SEGA Genesis for a buck! WOOT!
LOL! I actually went to the used game store at lunch and grabbed this cart to gut for my Everdrive-MD. It's got two screws that hold it together and will be very easy to modify. I'm going to make an Everdrive-MD label for the cart and I'll share it here in case anyone else buys one.

Looks like SkyLine BBS (Manual here also) PM me your address and I will send it all out. I am one of those crazy people who have not had a Land Line in over 10 years now , so a BBS is kind of useless to me. I will send all the BBS stuff I got.

Well, the A1200 still boots to the internal hard drive like a dream. The internal floppy works but the "Eject" is a bit miss-aligned and the floppy takes a slight bit of wiggling to get out. The keys are very slightly yellowed on the top row.
I am going to have to scrub the drive. It's been so long, I am going to have to look up how to format it and then install 3.0 fresh (I promised the old owner I would do that) I don't have a spare set of 3.1 ROMS otherwise I would install 3.1
Now for something completely off topic.
I saw this on Gizmondo this morning. I am almost 40 and still have a soft spot in my heart for the Muppets. I had no Idea that Henson did work for IBM's sales force.
I am going to have to scrub the drive. It's been so long, I am going to have to look up how to format it and then install 3.0 fresh (I promised the old owner I would do that) I don't have a spare set of 3.1 ROMS otherwise I would install 3.1

NO WAY!!!! This is what I have just bought!!!!! I saw another forum doing a group buy but couldnt wait (plus they are ordering around 50). I would definatley be interested in a copy of your label when its done.
Igor is also doing an N64 Cartridge, its still early days yet but fingers crossed he will produce it for a similar price. Other manufacturers flash carts are so prohibitively expensive for the amount of use I will get out them, I just cant justify it. (He says after buying a 1541 Ultimate II
)Just out of curiosity SDG how long did it take to arrive from placing the order?

I just finished modifying the case from the game I bought earlier and it turned out really good. The push button switch make it a tight fit in the case, but the case still closes pretty well. There's a surface mount LED that lights up during SD card access so I made a hole in the front of the case for light. The SD card slot I cut is just a little too long on one end, but all-in-all I'm happy with it. I also got to use my new Panavise and it worked great!
I know he's working on an N64 adapter and I hope that it's as good a deal as this card. I sent an email to the RetroUSB people who make the PowerPak products and asked if they had any plans for an N64 cartridge and they said they were thinking about it.
I also ordered a 1541U-II and I'm very excited to get it. Let us know how you like the Everdrive-MD.

Nice work SDG, very impressed with the quality of the print.
If I ever get something like this I would certainly think of doing the same, it would atleast give me a good excuse to brush up on my CS2 skills.
