Picked up a Powerplay Cruiser through a local online seller, everything seemed fine until I noticed the previous owner somehow forced the adjustment collar the wrong way round! The 'loosest' setting sort of works but feels a bit rough but the other 2 settings don't work at all. I've owned a few of these in the past from new so I know how they're supposed to feel but this ain't it o_O

Now all I need to do is figure out how to get that collar off as even after disassembling the rest of the stick there's no obvious way to get the stick off from either side. Other internals like the microswitches and their mounts seem fine. I'm sure it's some obvious trick I'm missing or something 🤔

@fitzsteve the previous ones I had were plain black, but I remember always seeing this model advertised in Commodore Format. It's certainly something, I kinda like it 😅

I think I've finally lost the plot ...

The A600GS is 2nd user and has been reset to factory and registered to me.

Another Acorn added to my collection. An Acorn A3010 2mb (Picked this up yesterday (13/09/25)).

When I was shown it working it would only get to the Supervisor Prompt.

It even as a Castle Technology IDE "Podule" & an 80mb HDD in it.

Mouse works too, after cleaning.

It needs work and it is yellowed, but it does turn on and will boot to RISC OS 3.11 when the "delete" Key is pressed. HDD works when added too.

Battery has caused damage and I do need to fix some traces. Ordered a new Battery and Parallel Port due to the damaged caused to it by the battery.

Some pictures first two pictures are the original Advert pics, The rest are from me getting it working.

Good to see you’re still about AF! Hope you’re well.

So I got one of them GAEMS Vanguard Portable monitor carrying case for games consoles, I remember seeing them when on deployment visiting one of the US Naval bases and thinking to myself "I really want one but they are just too much".

I bought it off eBay after putting in a very cheeky offer which I didn't expect the seller to accept, but to my surprise the seller did, it doesn't have its original PSU and one of the clips was broken. The seller also sold it has faulty due to some weird screen cliches on certain colours which was also shown in the listing but also stated it could also be because of the PSU used for testing it.

I fixed the broken clip with araldite and filled in the gap with more araldite to give it extra support so hopefully it will be rock solid. and Clip seems to function well

I've stuck my PS3 Slim in it even though I believe this one is actually for a PS4 it works quite well me thinks.

On testing (a good few hours) with a suitable PSU I found the screen to be spot on and no screen defects the seller was eluding to.

I don't really need one now, my Navy days are far behind me, but I like it so I got it. Anyway here are some pictures of it.
