Voltmace Database

Voltmace Database

I got a Voltmace Database console in the post today. 30 years since I last owned one :)

No idea if it works as I have to source some games for it now! Hoping it's as good as I remember.

Well, I can confirm I had my absolute best commodore auction last year, but I only now found out about the details. There were two C64c, one custom psu, one brick psu, one joystick, a tape deck, all untested, for the price of a working breadbin.

Well, the joystick was a competition pro;
The custom psu has overvoltage protection and stabilization;
One of the C64c, that I opened today breaking the seal, had by far the best video and sound output I ever witnessed on a 64, and here we go: ASSY250466 with sid6581r4 ar.

Why I opened it? Because today I got a broken C64c with a much better case than the other one, which was by far the cheapest! It didn't have any screw, and most of the hooks broke.

By the way the tape deck didn't work at all, should I have sent the lot back?

:shhh:

No pictures but .. during my lunch hour I picked up:

PowerMAC 7300/180 Pc compatible
Macintosh Centris 610
Macintosh Centris 650 x 2
Macintosh Quadra 610
Macintosh Quadra 660AV
Macintosh Quadra 700
AppleCD 300
Apple Harddisk 20SC

Do I dare open them up and look for some quaddoublers? ;)

In case there is none (good chance) at least all but one of these machines is supposed to boot to the OS :thumbsup:

If only I could get snowed in for a couple of months so I could go through my hoarder's heaven :D

The Centris 610 had a note on it that said "gaming system, lots of games" .. curious but I didn't have any time left last night to hook it up :(

No Quaddoublers though but 2 systems had a PC card in it, not sure how that will work, noticed 486sx25 processor on the lower end one.

I picked up some c64 stuff and found these Leisure Suit Larry III floppies:

Now I really have to get them working on my A2000 and pc card... ;-)

I just ordered myself a 250GB Samsung EVO SSD to upgrade the old 120GB Intel SSD I have in my desktop PC, and today I received a package with a ..250GB Hitachi 2½" 5400 RPM HDD! Someone must have seriously been sleeping when they packed this.

Notice that the label does say Samsung SSD, so whoever labeled it was also sleeping.

Got a Leading Technology AT5000 in that I bought on eBay (cheap) yesterday. Very nice 80286 (AMD) with 1 MB RAM (512 chips & 2X 256KB SIMM), 40 MB Seagate HDD and 5.25" HD FDD. I added a 3.5" HD FDD and CT1690 (SB Pro 2). Very nice system: with manuals, box, unused keyboard and diskettes (OS, drivers). The system looks brand new (the motherboard and everything else is flawless and shiny: the case is not 100% but close to 98% clean).

Since we got a new larger house, it was about time to extend the family to the appropriate size of four.

A boy named Vetle.

Congrats, 4 is a great number for a family and we have settled on the same number ourselves. :)
