The machine does have some light scratches and stuff so has been used but is in very nice condition.

The controllers are very early models with the cable coming out the side instead of the top.

the d-pad has a screw thread in the middle for screwing the nub/stick in. There are two included (one for each pad).

Cool! I don't remember ever seeing that on the Western equivalents... Though admittedly it's been waaaaay too long since I last used a Master System, haha.

If you don't mind modifying a cart, you can get all the SG-1000 games on one and save some shelf space  Well apart from a print out of all the dip switch combinations and which game that corresponds to

I got today HP LP1965 monitor with speakers. It's 19" size, PVA panel and it is capable of 24 to 83 kHz horizontal frequency and 48 to 76 Hz vertical.
With Indivision ECS switched to 1.00 vertical scaling the scrolling is smooth like on CRT. Ofcourse there is some ghosting, that is not on CRT but it's not
so heavy. Colors are much better like on my previous TN Philips C170 monitor.

Only a complete Wonder Boy PCB (the one closer to the lockbar) and Choplifter PCB (higher up, I guess left most in the pic). Both games are Sega System 1 arcade boards.

You lucky soul! :D I almost scored a Wonder Boy PCB a few years back, but it turned out to be a bootleg when the seller checked his stock again (he had more than one), so I backed out...

I must admit to no familiarity with Choplifter, though!

thanks, Wonder Boy PCB's are hard to come by, and get expensive, I got this for a song :) I'm looking for either (or both) a Pitfall II PCB or an Wonder Boy In Monster Land PCB. The end goal being that once I get a few other projects out of the way, I'll build a switcher and put all 2/3/4 PCB's into the one cab and make a Multi Sega System 1 arcade box. Im not holding out much hope for finding the other two PCB's so... but thats going to be further down the track, maybe a winter project.

I actually know of an online shop over here that had a Pitfall PCB that needed some work at some point (no idea if they ever sold it, though), but on going to check, it seems to be down right now. :( I'll keep my eyes open and drop you a PM when or if it comes back up, if that'd help.

What's Etsy? :-)
Etsy is kind of like an equivalent to eBay, but exclusively for handicrafts, crafting supplies, and vintage goods over 20 years old. I say "kind of" because it's not an auction site - it's composed entirely of buy-now listings.

It's located here: http://www.etsy.com/ .

EDIT: Taking a look, I suspect that the seller of the decal in this case was probably RunStopRestore. ;) There's a fair bit of Commodore stuff on there.

Hello Chums

Thought I would take a break from repairing everyone else's' systems today and try and finish a project of my own which I have had on the back burner for the last month.

Tandy TRS 80 MODEL 4 - 128K RAM with FreHD Hard Disk Emulator.

This machine has really been a labour of love.
I imported it from Canada as a non working spares machine 120V only, and thanks to a helpful chap in Australia I was able to convert the system to full 240V spec, modify the mismatched Video board as well as upgrading the RAM and installing the Hard disk Emulator.

The system was riddled with faults but one by one they were all solved and she is now 100% healthy and looking pretty good for her age.

At some point in the future I will be doing a full nekkid photo shoot when time permits..

I would like to express Huuuuuge gratitude to Merlin for his help with obtaining the system and Iainjh for the extended loan of his Model 4 (after I repaired it lol) which helped me troubleshoot my machine a lot faster and easier.

Thank you guys

TC :)
CP500M80c.jpg
I got a CP500 M80C (TRS80 model III clone) here.

No image but it seeks for a floppy in drive A briefly (or is it drive 0? ) then nothing, even when the CP/M boot floppy is inserted.

When turning off the tube shows a persistent dot, indicating the tube filament and canon are working and that's it.

Any advices?

Hi rog

Hold down break while resetting to see if you can boot the Rom Basic

We need to get a boot disk for you, or you can write your own if you have an older pc with dos and a 5.25 floppy drive

This baby arrived to me from USA yesterday :)

I have to say I am jealous. I absolutely love those machines I really do. I had one about 7 years ago pretty much mint in the box which I sold :( It felt great coming from the US as well. Enjoy it!

I did receive Sega's ultimate Collection for the Xbox 360 today. So i can't wait to try that. I also received Sega Smash Pack for the GBA, but boy am I disappointed with that. From what I've read it's not emulated but the sound quality is shocking :( I only wanted Golden Axe on the go, thought it might be on par with Double Dragon Advance but jeez, it's nowhere near. Still, I enjoy it.

You should look at replacing the screen in that Nomad, its pretty easy mod and very cheap too. The difference is really noticable.

You can also add a wire to the asic allowing the use of Master System games (with a suitable converter or Everdrive).

I have a thread on here somewhere showing both mods
