I never received a PM from holzroller. Only four devices left.

I have all the parts except for some back-ordered resistors that are scheduled to ship at the end of the month. I'll update the thread as I have more information.

Kits shipped today to MoreBITS, treintje, ChrisUnionNJ, and wizardnj. I'm working on assembly of all the assembled units and they should ship by next Monday or Tuesday. :thumbsup:

Next thing to do is to read the manual and find out how to work with the SD card.
Btw. Which program image types are supported? I put some .prg files on the SD card, but the expansion doesn't seem to see them. The disc screen opens briefly but immediately returns back to the main menu. In the manual I read something about a loader file, but I haven't been able to get that part working yet. Well, rtfm i guess, so time to study :-).

[Update] I found a preconfigured SD image which i could just dump on the SD card, and it works like a charm! [/Update]

Anyway: It was fun to put it together and I'm very happy with it. And again I'm amazed what a hobby community can pull off in developing and producing professional grade products!

Thanks so much for the post with all the nice pictures! I don't see the results of most of the kits I sell so it's great to see yours. :)

The disk loader is a bit of a beast to work with. I'm going to update the user manual to make many things easier to understand. Part of the re-write is also going to be going into detail about the Disk Loader. Your SD card has to be properly configured to use the Disk Loader and to flash programs from the Disk Loader into the Cart Loader.

I sent raparici's fully assembled cartridge today. The remaining fully assembled devices will be sent by the end of the week.

Yes, So I've noticed. No problem, I'm technical enough. I found a preconfigured image in the internet, so I can use that as a starting point for configuring my own. It always helps if you have a proper and working example that you can use as a reference. That's much easier than having to find it all out from scratch. When I understand how it all works, I'll give it some thought. Maybe it's possible to write a program which does the difficult work for me. Well, first I have to learn how it works!

Hey Robin,

There's actually already a program that will scan a folder and create a LOADER file for you. It's definitely not perfect but it does most of the hard work of creating the file. You can edit the file to fix programs that don't run. For instance, I never had it make a loader that worked with BASIC programs but I was easily able to change the entry to make it work.
