Instant fix for our problems .... You can find these beta drivers on A1K.org but you need to understand a bit of German to get there I guess. Not sure it's easy/easier to register there as it used to be when I finally got in there years ago but files are attached. For further updates I guess it's best to go and register there.

I have 4 modes AHI prefs

Prelude 16 bit stereo
16 bit stereo ++
24bit stereo
24bit stereo ++

only Prelude 16 bit Stereo available via EaglePlayer AHI amp
You should NEVER use the 24bit ones, see manual. They are only usefull when you have the Apegiator or something like that module. It's not a drama if you use them but it costs CPU power.

yeh i did use them for five mins.....lol only 2-3% CPU (new meter) sounds ok.....on EaglePlayer the AHI amp is set to 16bit stereo ++ 41khz...sounds ok too 4-5% CPU also

Does anybody know where i can download the dummy toccata.library to use with the prelude...?

Whenever I run the mixer app, it crashes every time. Is there more than one version of it we can try?

hm you use the old mixer with the drivers above ? If so there's another mixer in the package as a commodity.

if you can use SnoopDos to see what the system is looking for...there might be something missing or wrong version etc

For the record, my MpegIT went back for repair and it had two broken connections so I am in good hope I get it all sorted.

yeh i keep taking mine off to post back to be tested but it keeps working for a few hours.....lol Damm card is playing mind games lol

Not sure why you want the tocatta emulation ? As far as I can tell it was only usefull for Samplitude 2 and 3 but became obsolete when Samplitude OPUS supported Prelude directly

Aparently EaglePlayer uses it instead of AHI amp......as i type My Pstorm A500+ is playing via Prelude 16bit sereo ++ sounds nice...but if I accses the HDD it stops playing....even with 20mb/sec transfer speed lol

Mark do you ever read other posts and manuals? The driver I posted a couple posts down the line solves the problem with the hd access.

Yes i do...forgive me...I do not have a prelude Manual....I will try the driver package again.

Read the manual of the package carefully :-) . No more hickups after that one while I use AHI 6. It's well documented on A1K.org.

Oh and I do have the same setup as yours

All seems to work ok.....AmigaAmp is ok but but takes up 45% cpu EaglePlayer and Mpega (fpu) works great now.....3% CPU.

Interesting info for newbies

Quote from AnalogKid on Ak1.org

Since Friday I now have a Prelude plus MPEG-IT replica from @DjCook, thank you again at this point. I installed them in an A2000 Rev. 6 with a Pistorm 2k, Emu68 and various other cards (XSurf 100, Freeway Pro, AT-Bus Clone).

Apparently, the Emu68 P96 driver triggers the interrupt problem with the prelude. Because without P96, so purely with ECS there are no problems with the AHI driver, with P96 the playback breaks off continuously. Whether with AHI4 or AHI6 does not matter. With MHI and MPEG-IT there are no problems here or there.

Is there any workaround or does something need to be fixed in the Emu68 P96 driver?

Its worth logging onto the Ak1.org website and searching "prelude" There is the original thread from early concept to "hints and tips" worth a read....!!

Weird. I don't have any problems anymore with break up at all, my internet streams play for hours while I can install or open whatever in the meantime. Playing MP3 in software with the prelude while the blanker kicks in to action with 20 flying toasters which is *quite* demanding ... Without a glitch

I use the the Icomp P96 and emu68k driver I found in CaffeineOS on a clean 3.2.2.

Well.....in the past two weeks....I have set up my Meanwell psu with 5.1v at the Floppy Connector.....so Power was not an issue.....I came away from CaffineOS (8 series).....copied over a prebuilt 3.9RTG build......updated to P96 V3.3.x added the Pistorm Emu68 VC4 monitor driver and VC4.card for P96 AHI v4.18 with the above Prelude Bundle.....Also I added prelude.library v.5x .

At the time of writing.....its been playing Mp3`s via MHI Mpegit for 6 hours........3% CPU time......no issues when accessing the Virtual HDD (SD card)....So I might have cracked it.
