I have a strange issue with my cd32. When I connect the TF330 WITH an sd adaptor and SD card installed, the volume output of the machine drops to around 25% of the actual volume.

If I remove the SD adaptor from the TF330, the volume is normal again. I don't know if the problem is on the sd adapter or on the TF330. I don't have a spare adaptor to test!

I am sure the problem is not on the software on the SD card because when I boot from cd, the sound volume is also very low. Any ideas?

First question, has your CD32 had the capacitors replaced and the two incorrectly mounted ones replaced?

On what have you formated the SD card to work in your CD32? How big is the SD card?

I used Win32 Disk Imager to write the latest AGS 3.0 AGA (SCSIFIXED). So the size is 32gb. It works on the cd32 (both the game launcher and workbench).

But if the problem is with the SD card itself why when I boot from the CDROM with an original cd the volume is so low? And if I remove the SD adaptor everything works?

I found the problem and fixed it. It seems that some ide-to-sd adapters have this issue ONLY with the cd32. I cut Pin 1 on the IDE cable (the Red one) and the problem with the low sound volume was fixed. You can read the details of this fix here:

I confirm that after cutting the signal (it’s pin 1 of the cable) the sd card still works like before.
