I find it a real hassle to use a phone, hence choosing this option.
I've just done the same on another forum and it worked, that forum seems to use the same forum software, so is it just that this option is not by design available here (although it is an option on the verifaction method screen)?

This happened to me recently. But I actually received 2 emails with 2 different codes. The second code worked.
Ok I'll try again, none of the codes have worked yet but maybe my timing is out.

Don’t forget when you signed up. You did receive some emergency authentication codes just incase 
I can confirm the email codes work for me every time!
I got into this situation a month or so ago. I couldn’t login.
No one knew why and left it a day then tried again and it worked. I think my codes were out of sync ?? No idea !!

My 30 days trusted login ended a couple of days ago. I had to login and then wait for my auth code. For some reason I ended up with 2 emails with 2 different auth codes. Not sure if this was because I use an IPad and Safari on IOS 17 or I had accidentally hit the login button twice? Anyways the second auth code let me in.
Yep. All good this time also. 30 days lapsed. Code sent… worked first time.
