I'm having an issue with my new rapid road xsurf USB.After a reboot the stack isn't running and I tell it that I want to start on reboot with the install.

My hardware:
A3000
CS MKIII
CV64
Prelude
X-surf 100

Installed the rapid road on the x-surf then the Poseidon 4.5. Poseidon installed fine and I plugged in a USB mouse and it worked perfectly.

I then rebooted the 3000 then Poseidon doesn't work. I can load the prefs just fine but it doesn't see any USB device. If I reinstall Poseidon it finds the USB devices fine until I reboot.

When I first installed Poseidon I told it to work on startup.

Thanks for the help.

I reviewed the startup sequence and the psd loader is in the beginning of the file.

The USB device driver is under the USB hardware folder in devs.

When I do the install I go with all the defaults.

Still does not work after a reboot.

Any ideas?

Update:

Things are getting worse.

Now nothing get recognized by Poseidon and Rapid Road USB, even if I reinstall Poseidon 4.5.

I read the documents and all seems in order. The flea light is on the Rapid Road and the NIC still works perfectly.

Could this be a defective Rapid Road or some setup item?

I dont know if this applies to you, but I had a simular problem on my 1200 with a rapid road on the clockport. I fixed it be removing the Easynet network software from Amigakit and its drivers and cleaning up the startup sequence.

Are you at the one selling the x-surf 100 on eBay due to similar issues?

Thanks for the great suggestion. I removed all traces of easynet I could find and still no joy.

I tried z2 mode and removing all the other cards. Still doesn't see anything plugged into it...

That isn't me. Still beating head on wall trying to get working. Think the thing might be defective...
