I hope this is OK to post here?

I am looking for someone local (South London area) who is able to repair CRT monitors. I have a Commodore 1084S that is a bit poorly, see image below. I know someone in Birmingham who fixes CRT Monitors, but I don't really want to ship it like that because of damage risk. If it's someone local then I can take it and pick it up by car.

This is what is happening, the grey area at the top of the screen is not camera/scan sync, that is how it actually looks to the naked eye.

Anyone able to help?

i suppose that would be me,haha,anyway if you drive to me bring your tv you had trouble with,i know about this already
 
by the way,the tv has vertical collapse(not mentioned here),ive seen this already somewhere else,makes sense to drop both down

of course this is up to you
 
crt number two

this one had vertical collapse,i replaced the vertical output ic,its now working

crt number three 1084st

completely dead,power supply failure,no service manual for this,so took a bit to work out,i replaced the tda4605 and the buz 90 on the primary side
it now works,interestingly,this hasnt worked since the late 90's

this will make someone happy,you know who you are :)

crt number four a sony tv

this had a horizontal jitter,i never got to see that as it got worse while it was here right infront of us both,the part that failed was c810 which a 1nf 400v capacitor across the horizontal out put connected the g2 line,it popped while we had it on here when it was dropped down

anyhoo,it now works properly and is rock solid,picture is how it works

this is the last one, for this thread,all done
