See I was way off thanks guys..
Car boot here is for parking in a spot to long and for tickets they boot the driverside tire have to go pay the fines to get it off..
Our Boot on a UK car is your trunk on yours. We call your Hood a bonnet, yet bonnets are usually worn by old grannies. Then again, we also have Easter bonnets which the kids usually lash up in craft classes.
There are loads of confusing things like this at different sides of the big pond, yet some of the spelling you guys have totally own. I hate the way we spell Color. <--- To me, that looks how it sounds, but colour should sound like colure.
Guns in Nottingham is just natural progression m8. - It's not that long since they were still using Bows & Arrows whilst the menfolk wore green tights.

So what about a yard sale then? To whom is that all belong to?
We really don't have yard/garage or car boot sales up here. Just a bunch of rag tag flea markets.
We used to have this electronics recycling center, in which the personnel had the sense to pick up the good retro stuff and offer it for sale among the other sellable stuff.
You could get A500s, C64s, STs etc. for like 5 €. Too bad it's defunct now.
