depends on your screen, your use, scandoubler and personal prefference:nod:

I have a scandoubler. I going to use WHDload, And i like things to look good...=)
I have not reinstall the computer, It crashes every time I try to change resulution.
Right now it is a TFT monotor at my work im using, and Im happy thare is a picure at all on it.

What "monitor drivers" do you have installed? I.E., what's the contents of "SYS:Devs/Monitors"?

Also, we assume you've got a PAL version of the A1200 since you're in Sweden. Then, which version of Workbench are you using, is it version 3.0 or version 3.1? Which leads to the question of does your WB match the ROM chips?

You've got a Blizzard1220 CPU, I don't know this set-up from experience, but it's a 020 so it shouldn't mean "special version" of any libs, commands or programs involved. So it goes to say that you'd need to know that Setpatch (affects iprefs) doesn't do any 030, 040 or 060 dickery.

If it's not in software (which I think it is) then it's underpowered PSU perhaps, or faulty caps. But it seems unlikely to me.

scan doubler with flicker fixer?

I have a scandoubler Eyetech internal, https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=22457, it looks kind of a flickerfixer becorse it seams to have memory.
I think it is PAL. How to I check?
I have now WB 3,0 and kick 3,0, I have orderd WB and KS 3,1.
Monitor drivers.... Now it is out of my leage... But thare are "Pal" and "Ntsc"

Good, then for the most part it sound that your "Monitors" drawer is "correct". Your WB install otherwise is pretty vanilla?

Is both "Env:" and "Envarc:" writable? This is where the "Screenmode" program will write it's settings to when you apply changes. The program "Overscan" is where you can adjust native modes (NTSC and PAL) to stretch a bit bigger in some cases, not sure how a LCD and SD&FF will react to this.

When it you open "Screenmode", what is the mode set to at first?
When you change, and apply it, what do you change it to?

One thing I would try is to change the modes w/o the Eyetech FF. See if it still crashes.

Also, I'd go into "SYS:Prefs/env-arc" or where it is... in a DOPUS or Shell(or something like that) and delete the screenmode settings and overscan settings files. Can't remember right now what they're called. And then reboot. It "resets" your settings to default, and eliminates any uncertainty as to if there is corrupt settings or such things.

The WB install is from previus owner so I dont know much, It looks standard...
I can change the screenmode, it saves, but i often get a "Software error "8000 800B"". (every time this happend my blizzard want show untill a hard reboot)
Now it is set to "PAL Highres interlaced" 724*566. It looks good but it flickers...
This resolution looks good, no need for more. But i cannot stand the flicker. Aint my Eyetech a flickerfixer as well?
I cannot test the system without the Eyetech. With compostit, but that sucks.

Seems to recall that this product is the similar to the same that Mikronik and DCE also sold, and that they existed in "lite" and full versions, in other words one without and one with FF.

You say the Blizzard won't show after you change the resolution. What exactly happens? So you lose the fast ram?

A Software error "8000 800B" is a memory error. It is the most common Amiga crash error and can mean a lot of things. Most commonly it is a program that isn't fully compatible with the hardware, such as trying to run an old game designed for an earlier Kickstart version. It could however also indicated faulty ram, and if you are losing the 1220 when this happens it sounds like it is a fault with the card, its ram or something related to it.

How much fast ram do you have installed in the 1220? And if it uses SIMM ram then maybe try another SIMM to see if that helps. Also try taking the 1220 out of the Amiga and cleaning the edge connector contacts with some IPA as a dodgy contact, or a card not inserted fully into the slot could cause lots of issues.

Harrison:
Tested without the Blizzard and it dous the same thing. I get error-message 8000 8003 and 8004. Hope this is is software, thare is a lot of **** on the harddisc, from tools to games to "special photos"...

Blankstare:
I will take a look on that, when I get some discs to transfer the drivers to the Amiga. Hope the flicker disapeare.
