I bought one off AmigaManiac quite some time ago and it worked fine, not sure if they all work though. I sold it on though and went back to real hard drives.

Why did you went to back real hard drive?

I thought SD CARD is cool because file tranfer is so easy from PC to Amiga eh?

My Amiga is towered and I already had hard drives in it and a dvd drive so moving files around was not really a problem for me. Also I found it extremely picky on which sd cards would work in it, but this was quite some time ago almost 2 years I think and I can't remember which specific cards I was using at the time.

also lack of master/slave so only that on the cable

though I`ve had much sucsess with SD/IDE adapters - SD cards are cheaper than CF cards

Same here. The SD/IDE is the most stable, reliable and fastest with the FastATA 1200.

After trying many different combinations with IDEFix-Express and FastATA all the SD/microSD cards I have (Class 4) weren't running anything past PIO 3, so last week I ordered a SanDisk 8GB Extreme Pro (that supposedly goes up to 95mb/s - Class 10) it just got here and to my surprise it runs stable at PIO 5.

I believe the only way to run it faster is with pfs3. I've been using sfs that works great here but I'm giving a try with pfs3 just for the sake of science. :ninja:

Btw, this is on a 68030 ACA-1231.

I've had some of these for a long time. Got some generic ones from a Chinese eBay seller. Think they were less than £2 each. Look identical to your picture with the black pcb.

I only use SanDisk cards anyway as they are the only reliable ones. And works fine with them. Have installed in a600 at moment.
