Interested in two units if still available. Signed-for mail to Finland.
I assume you mean 8580. And yes, the 8580 SID runs with a lower supply voltage, so you need to modify your C64 board to provide the higher supply voltage before the 6581 will work. The filters in 6581 also needs some other filter capacitors or it will not sound correct. Compare the schematics of the two to see how you could do these modifications. If you are unsure about doing this change, I would probably stay away from it since you could easily burn the SID if the supply voltage is too high.So how would I put it in my C64? It has an 8680, but like the 6581 better... I was told the 6581 voltage is more?
The Swinsid doesn't use the high supply voltage. It just uses the 5V supply so it will run in any motherboard without modifications (it also uses its own filters).
So you still have some doubt? If you want to use a 6581 you need to modify your board, but a Swinsid will run in all models without modifications. That's what I read yes......................?
Declaring interest. Pm on the way

What is the price for 1 SwinSID nano v.2 shipped in France ?
Same question with 2 SwinSID nano v.2 ?
