I don't think this board accepts composite or S-Video. The conversion between composite and RGB or YPbPr isn't a trivial task either. You are better off with a separate composite->VGA converter, like the one Amigamaniac sells.

According to the manual it only accepts RGB (15-30Khz), YPbPr and YCbCr: http://www.jammaboards.com/arcade_manuals/GBS-8220_CGA_to_VGA_HD-Converter.pdf
It certainly doesn't accept SVideo or Composite input. A shame, but for what it does do to RGB, it does well.
As a small side note, I'm currently hacking my GBS, Sync Strike and SLG3000 into a single box and my initial tests show that the GBS consumes around 450 - 500mA when IDLE (with SS and SLG its at 650mA idle)... so anyone running power from their Amiga and not using a dedicated PSU need to be careful where they are pulling voltage from, off the main +5V line on the PSU connector, Good (as long as your PSU is ATX), off the RGB port, bad.
I think the manufacturers aren't exaggerating when they say use a 2A PSU. This is to be completely safe. And also, a PSU that doesn't go too high voltage wise, between 5 and 5.11V should be good, if its starting to hit 5.2V (with load) then it could cause issues too as Harrison found.
I used an old generic PSU from a WIFI Bridge that I found scrapped at work (PSU was fine though). Its rated @2A.

Guys, I received the RGB cable back last week, when I use my A1200 on my LCD monitor with this solution, the screen has no signal. When I change the resolution using the board menu it goes green and sometimes purple (then I can see the workbench on the screen).
Edited: I just tested with standard composite cables and the screen is ok on that, maybe my RGB port is faulty? any clues?

Yes, I did that and now all the resolutions are giving me some crazy images, unstable things on the screen with some weird colors.

have you got a rgb to scart to check you rgb port
also try to adjust the three pots on the adpter to see if that changes anything
they cables i made were tested on my adapters an worked on my 17in acer monitor and my edge10 24in monitor
my 2 adapters work fine on my 2 amigas my 1200 tower and my 1200 desktop both run fully from the rgb port
i used 1 in a box all weekend conected to my tower rgb port at the retro replay event in november without issues on all day
also try to adjust the three pots on the adpter to see if that changes anything

We actually dont use SCART here in Brazil, I cant test it with other component because I dont have any other. I will keep waiting for some feedback on the forum, Im pretty sure it will be working in no time.

can some kind person tell me if i can use this with a gfx board in my amiga and mix the signals on the vga port to one vga port on my lcd.i.e:-
r.g.b from amiga to vga on the lcd and vga from my gfx card to vga on the same port or do i need an automatic switch arrangement.

hi johnim, do know if it can take signals through the what looks like vga connector on the input end,just an adea.or is it limited to 15khz,i think it woud have to be around 31 to even think about this.

but...ill have to do it after christmas.so to re-cap i can shove the vga signal from my voodoo through the vga input.
and use the rgb out from the amiga thruogh the port next to it(in theary)

the cables are not a problem for me,im thinking of making a custom box for my 1200D and just plug the whole thing in the back,does this sound good?
(as a enclosed unit,it looks small enough going by the dimensions)from what i can see it has a passive heatsink,does this unit give off much by way of heat?(if it does i can fit it with a silent fan)
5v @ 2A is the recommended power supply for these boards

I'm trying to get GBS working with my A600 and the picture quality is horrible. I've tried with external PSU (5V/1000ma, hope it's enough) as well as getting 5V from video socket but all I get is no-good picture. e.g. In the insert diskette screen the purple background is very restless. I'm not sure what are the right terms to describe it but there's lot of waves and distortion. Any similar experiences? The cable I'm using is made with johnim's instructions.
