I haven't used any resistors, just turned the trimmer pots all the way down. The picture looks fine this way, even a bit less saturated than on my old 1084. Arcade boards use TTL level RGB signals, so Amiga's output is fine as it is.
You can use only one ground, because all the grounds (pin 16-20) are joined together at the RGB connector. Harrison tested this with a multimeter.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Could we please have some screen shots? Including close ups? Bonus points for 24bit AGA screen shots

I took a few pictures, but most of them are too blurry, because I haven't used the flash  Here's a workbench screen shot.

Hi guys I seen the box on Evil Bay nice idea would love to see the cable split down so we can see how it was made successfully.

Mates!

The cable worked well on my Amiga 600, but on the Amiga 1200 still with issues on the screen (bad colors, the image is barely seen). Any thoughts? Maybe I got a bad RGB port? Is there any fixes?

Cheers.

Alfredo

Hi Guys
Has anyone tried Amiga manics setup using his RGB to Svideo then using an S video to VGA to get the signal to the monitor?

i have used skipper2k adapter which is from same design but thats using 2 parts.and similar results and this is a single solution

Hey John,

What screen modes have you managed to display with this? I have one of these cards now and so far have only been able to display the different PAL modes. Other modes e.g dblPAL, Multiscan show "No Signal".

Thanks,
Ed.

hi ed just the same upto super hires laced as the others are higher than 15khz. dpal is 31 and i think multiscan is too.

Ok thanks mate, strange that it has a VGA input, two in fact but doesn't do anything with it.

what i was thinking about doing john was doing away with the rgb cable altogether and have the plug on the box itself to make it more compact and shortening the cable so the hole unit plugs into the desktop case, then using plungers thruogh the case to the buttons on the pcb, making the height smaller.just sourcing a see through box at the mo.i think for mine ill go for a red one if i can get one in the right colour if not ill make one

Some quality screen shots would be brilliant!.

Along with something AGA!.

4 colour workbench screens doesnt cut the mustard. Really keen to be blown away by the crisp picture from this device!

I have tried mine with the cable made by jonhim (thanks again man :) ) but the quality from my A1200 RGB port is quite poor on my LCD, with bluriness and flickering, compared to my Indivision. I am using an external PSU 5V 1A. Could it be better with 2A?
Now i need to try it on the A2000.

You require a 5 volt 2 Amp power supply for these boards!

Sure, i am aware of that and i have ordered a proper PSU. The 5V 2A PSU i have here do not have a suitable plug.

However, i have noticed that some people do power the device from the RGB port which certainly does not output 2A...

Where have you ordered a 5v 2a PSU from as I really need 2. One for this device, and another for my sync strike.
