Solution for external Flicker fixer?

I have no snow on mine at all and my VGA cable is the thicker style (more shielding) and has dual Ferrite cores (1 at each end).
I threw a Ferrite core (I have a few lying around) onto the cable from the Miggy at the base of the GBS connector and it made no difference to my PQ so I assume the VGA cable is doing it's thing and doesnt need any help.
PS, I have the GBS-8220.

Not sure if anyone has done this or not already but here goes:
Take an old VGA Card backing plate and either cut in half or dremmel out the second VGA port if your card has two then mount in standard pci expansion bay.
Its nice and tidy and out of the way plus safe from being shorted out on the base of the case.

Great idea Cugar124. I had a similar idea to add an adaptor plate to my A4000 so the GBS could sit underneath the m-ATX PSU. Haven't got round to it yet though. 
Nice one, cugar124. I think I will do something similar. How are you powering your GBS board, are you connecting to the Amiga PSU or an external one?
Edit: ah, just saw the second picture which doesn't have an external PSU connected. Are you using a molex connector?

theres two leds one for aga mode and the others for rtg.

its to get the signals from the amigas rgb port, the vga port on the voodoo3 3000, and the parrarel port.

Hi I have a question regarding supplying the power to GBS. I'd like to get rid of external PSU. I know that +5V on 23 pin in monitor connector is not enough, but is it possible/harmful to connect directly (inside Amiga on motherboard) this 23rd pin with +5V in PSU socket?
you could use power from either the floppy connector or solder to the back of the power jack,thats of course if the power supply is up to the task.
if your using the gbs externally you may as well stick to the psu you got for it.

Firstly has anyone seen / used one of these? Seems like an interesting and nicely boxed solution, but I wonder what the quality is like.
Secondly, the person that is selling the cased GBA8220's on eBay here is using the 5V power source from the video port on the Amiga. The general consensus here is that this would be a potentially bad idea, is this ignorance on their part or are we missing something?

The draw required for those units is more than double the rated supply on the 5v line from the Amiga so yes it's a really bad idea.
The quality of the GBS units is reasonable for something so cheap but I wouldn't pay what is being asked for the cased units, the quality of the gbs is just not worth that kind of money.

I doubt it's ignorance, more likely they don't care if they damage your Amiga!

Btw, I've decided the gbs, even with cap and resistor mods, is no longer good enuf for me and I've ordered this one to replace it as it seems to be a far better bit of equipment:
